My deep admiration for Niecy Nash might be clouding my judgment here, but this episode easily stands out for me. Who would have thought a seemingly innocent scene with a sandwich could chill someone’s blood like that?
It’s honestly laughable how some people (who are probably white), feel so pressed about an accurate portrayal of underserved black communities being overlooked by the police. We’ve come this far and yet, feels like nothing has changed.
Me going “Why is this episode called ‘Cassandra’? There’s no one in it named Cassandra.” Until I remembered my Greek mythology, and I’m super impressed with whoever though to give her name to the episode. What an awful curse to live that way.
