Decent but felt a bit rushed, they had some great ideas but not enough time or episodes to flesh it all out better.

Man, Night City eats you up and spits you out quick. David did not even last 6 months edge running.

I understand the complaints and I agree with most of them... but this still got me in the feels ;_;

If the series had been longer this would've felt way more cathartic, but since I barely had time to care about any of these characters, the emotional beats fell flat for me.

Huh. I feel bad for that Ripperdoc most of all. One idiot after another, he must have seen the same shit way too many times.

I kinda wish Rebecca made it through just because near the end she came across as not a total lunatic.

I'll Riot if there's no Season 2 or Spin-offs

Nice to see Adam Smasher himself living up to his rep of being a terrifying force to be reckoned with. Cyberpunk worlds are rarely ones where the hero gets a happy ending. We watched David start as a clueless kid and go on a dangerous path chasing the big leagues. Just like V from the game in a way. Only David's relied heavily on the tech and he lost himself along that journey. It's nice that Lucy got a bittersweet ending though. That gal deserves it.

feels a bit rushed at the end could've benefited from 2 more episodes.

Lucy made it to the moon, I cried. 10/10

Finale might be a bit rushed, but I don't find it that bad. It's a perfect ending to the pilot's strong note, keeping it true with the theme of the world: No one wins at Night City.

If it was David's crushing poverty that sets the tone really bleak in the first episode, here the trap they got themselves into feel similarly oppressive. Once you're cornered by the big corporations you really can't make it out alive. I also really like that the series up to the finale keeps character's death as surprises - thing that just happens, without dramatic exit. Night City eats you up alive and often without warning.

Despite being sorely bleak, the episode still manages to serve some justice to the characters to some extent - as with Faraday being killed and both Falco and Lucy made it out alive. The series might not be the strongest anime out this season but as a tie in to the game it does the job quite well.

Just three or four episodes more. In between 2 and 3. 5 and 6. 8 and 9. You get the gist. Just a few more so it didn't feel rushed would've been nice. There's some good characters here though I wished Rebecca didn't bite it. I feel there's more to her arc. All in all I really enjoyed it.

sorry but i hate this ending, fml, pure sadness

just rewatched this series after a long time. I remember this series being good but not this fucking awesome.

This perfectly captured cyberpunk and night City. I have 330hrs in the game and this is the best adaptation into a series I could wish for.

I AM STILL CRYING??? Yet I freaking loved it.

Damn man, Adam Smasher literally smashed Rebecca. Poor girl, she was a lovable psychopath. I'm kind of ok with this ending. Was great to see Night City in this comparable atmosphere as in 100+ hours in the game. Enjoyed this a lot!

RIP David. Night City lost another legend. Kiwi's "gliding along the edge" was a nice description of his final moments. And he even made it to Arasaka tower top floor. The fight with Adam Smasher was a bit underwhelming but I kinda like it as it doesn't really interfere with the version of Cyberpunk 2077 that I played. I hope the newer versions mention David though as he made too much of a dent to be ignored in the storyline.

Also RIP Rebecca - she was really coming through at the end.

Kiwi and Faraday got what they deserve. At least Kiwi still did something good in the end by tagging Faraday's AV ("go get 'er [Lucy] for me").

At least Lucy and Falco made it out.
Not quite a happy ending but I guess for a dystopian Cyberpunk universe it is - especially in Night City.
