Man, is it just me or is Larry David being a complete douchebag this episode, especially towards Cheryl. I feel as if it is just so unwarranted and sudden that it completely through me off. The episode really started off strong with Larry not wanting to get ready because he was watching the Maury show, but after that, it turned just slightly meh. I am perfectly okay with Larry being an ass to Cheryl, but if there is no reason or explanation for his actions, then why do it? Also, it was pretty cool seeing Jason Alexander from Seinfeld, but that was short lived. Larry wanting to be a car salesman was priceless, which was the best part of the episode, especially the part with Richard Lewis. Above all though, my biggest gripe with the episode was the end of it had no punch like everyone else in the show. Like every time you hear theme song, it has shown Larry looking miserable, but the show just had a smash cut and it ended. That really irritated me because it was so different.
The show can take a new direction by all means, but I wish it would ease us in a bit better as an audience. Maybe I am thinking about the episode a little too much. It is still much better than "AAMCO" and "Ted & Mary" though.
