A great JJ episode and a great CM episode overall. One of my favourites.
It is one of the most memorable episodes of Criminal Minds for me; it's one of the first I think of when I think of the show (although "he was alive yesterday?" will forever hold the top spot). It's also a JJ-focused episode, and I always love it when my girl gets to shine. There is a lovely woman on TikTok who pops by on my FYP often with her CM recaps, and the other day, she was discussing JJ and her character arcs, and she said she thinks the most significant change to her character occurred in season 2 when she started getting out to the field a lot more and I agree. I believe this is the episode to mark that change - JJ seems to be filling the hole made by Elle, and I have to say it looks much better on her

this was the first episode of cm to actually disturb me.. such a great episode overall though and i love that jj got more of a spotlight
