Why, oh why would they make this incredible friendship into a romantic one???? Absolutely unnecessary
how to ruin a perfectly good friendship: a guide by the criminal minds writers
how does this make any sense? I am sorry but JJ and Will are one of my favourite couples and this storyline made zero sense. How do you mean it wasn't a ruse?!
The season was already a little wobbly but what the hell was this.
That confessed reveal didn't feel very plausible or true to me. I also thought Reed would have mentioned it for being a good tactic. But apparently we have to believe this totally unnecessary twist.
girl, you don't say those things after 14 years, especially when your kids call him uncle!
the writers dropped the ball hard on this one
What an amazing episode!!!! JJ und Spence :sob::sob::sob: I love them sooo much :broken_heart:
Seriously? Not only was it bloated with the wedding crap to be able to fill measly 42 minutes but the rest, especially the bullshit twist, was just bad.
Well, Reid's gunmanship has certainly improved over the years.
Dave has been irritating me this season. Every time something big is happening with Krystall, his mind is on that instead of the case. I'm thinking Linda Barnes had a point when she said he's spending too much time with family and must not be devoting enough to the job. A proposal doesn't mean more than children being kidnapped. A wedding doesn't mean more than people being murdered. Relationships can wait; the victims can't.
Is Judge Melissa stupid or something? The threats of "I'll kill you daughter" mean nothing. That guy was not going to make it out. THere were cops and agents all around the building. There's not way he'd be able to kill the daughter. Even if Melissa thought he had an accomplish or something, why didn't Reid and J.J. let her know that wasn't the case? All this drama of "oh, will she kill someone" could have been avoided if they told her that from the beginning.
Oh. My. God.
Oh, my GOD!
That confession...I have tears in my eyes from sheer shock.
MY GOD! My whole brain is thinking "No, but also YES". Oh, man, the conflict. The canon ship is already good, but the potential ship is good, too. My brain is fried.
Awww, Reid took a page out of Hotch's book. Hotch would be so proud of him.
Number FIVE?! Matt has FOUR other children?? I thought he just had the one son.
This episode has my mind and heart running circles around each other. If Will had died and J.J. were single, this would be perfect because it opens the door for J.J. and Reid to be together. But Will and J.J. are already such a good pair, and I don't want this confession to put a strain on the beautiful friendship Reid and J.J. have. Ugh. If things were different, this could've been fine. But with the way things are, this just complicates things. And if I'm being honest, I feel like the confession would've been more likely to happen the other way around. To me, J.J. has always felt like a sister to Reid while Reid clearly had a crush on her in season 1. If anyone were holding onto a forbidden love for over 15 years, I'd think it'd be Reid, not the one who turned him down, got married, and had 2 kids. If this had happened 13 seasons ago....why are they doing this now?? Will this even be addressed next (final) season? And I still want Reid to be happy and in a relationship (or a father!) before the series end. Same for Penelope...

I have a bitter-sweet feeling after this episode. While it is true that I have mostly enjoyed this season, especially some episodes, the ending just made no damn sense. I feel like the other ones who have commented here. That's how you destroyed a 14-year friendship. I kept on expecting Reid to talk to JJ before the wedding and comment on it being "a good tactic" or something. Have the writers forgotten that JJ has a family? And what was Will doing while JJ and Reid has the strangest and most awkward conversation ever? Eating cake? It doesn't feel right. Some would say it's fan service because the show is ending, but I don't think it was like that. In fact, I don't think anyone in the fanbase wants JJ and Reid to be a thing. Their relationship has always been brotherly. JJ worries about him the same way she's do for a brother, especially given the fact that her sister committed suicide and that Reid was a sort of substitute of her. But to actually end a season like this? It was too much. I kept on expecting someone to actually die. My sister thought I'd be Rossi, given the fact that he was so happy. Fortunately, the wedding took place and, apparently, everyone is happy. Except me! I cracked up with Prentiss speech and also with the guys dancing. And Matt is going to have another baby! Jesus, how many kids are they going to have? I'm so happy for them. That is a very good, well-written and interesting relationship.
Does Krystall have family? Friends? Relatives? Work buddies? Only her daughter Portia came to the wedding. I was definitely expecting someone else. Only the BAU members attended the wedding. And, if there were that few guests, why that big-ass wedding cake?
Anyhow, like I said before, the season left a bitter taste in my mouth. Some episodes were excellent, and those that weren't, weren't that bad. Overall, it was a good season, only messed up by the JJ-Reid stuff.
