robby and johnny reuniting was really emotional for me. i‘m so happy for them! :‘) one of my favorite scenes of the season.
maybe father and son will be training together from now on… that would be awesome!!
It ended so unexpected and now we gonna have wait a year again
Great season. The best since Season 1.
Biggest issue:
I was confused about Silver's motives for returning, given his wealth and success. I didn't buy that Cobra Kai was his true desire. There's mention of expansion and corporate success that I wish they pushed a bit heavier. Silver's character also changes to suit the story, from the nicer sensei to the more psychotic of the two, on a whim. I wish there was more time spent on that.
I could have done without the Skills section of the Karate tournament, with more time spent on the fights. The Asian Cobra Kai competitor barely gets any time, despite being a secondary antagonist. And Kenny could have done with moments in the tournament.
I could have done with one more moment of Eli's growth and change this season. Maybe a moment where he is sitting down, on the outs with Miyagi-Do, and then Daniel seeing this, sits down to talk to him, to let him know he understands the brainwashing manipulative techniques of Cobra Kai (with flashbacks to Silver in KK3). Then Johnny sits down with them and continues that conversation. And for the first time, we see real unity between the two sensai's.
Positives:
Predictions for Season 5 (and potentially 6).
Wax on, wax off and until next year!!
wow this was epic and that ending holy bananas, its the best season yet and I keep repeating this after every season. excited for season 5!
What a wonderful episode. It felt a lot like a Series Finale. And it was good that Kreese fell apart at the hands of his own partner.
If I'm ever in a karate fight ima do a weird kata that I made up off the dome to trick them into thinking I've learned a new style.
amazing finale!!
daniel and johnny respecting each other and working together was awesome!
the fights were all great and i am really proud of tory, and also kreese, for changing their ways. lots of great character development this season.
i’m excited what miguel, my all time favorite, will find in mexico…
can‘t wait for s5!!
It's insane how Sam still gets continuously shat on.
Was ok but the ending like a soap opera lol first seasons much better but at least some fights where pretty good.
And Robby became normal again...
So many characters experiencing growth! This made for a very satisfying and rewarding finale.
This cliffhanger isn't as exciting as the previous ones. I don't see how they can keep the show fresh. This season had an overuse of old clips. How much more can you rely on nostalgia?
Amazing shot karate fights, with a lot of production values and intense soundtracks with a lot of dramas, intense quotes and pain and glory. Still, nobody is able to beat the final scene of the first movie. Less is still more
Terrance was always the much better villain of the two. hashbrown terrystaekwondoforthewin
Such an emotional roller coaster, great season. Sean Kanan returning as Mike Barnes could be what’s next in season 5. That’s not a spoiler, just a prediction.
Since who else could be brought in by Silver ?
Finally some real Japanese karate for next season none of this white people karake shit
A great finale!
Now we finally know what happened to Stingray. Looks like Silverhand got two things out of him. Just sucks that Stingray is so desperate...
At least there's the relieve that Miguel’s fine :)
Demetri did really well!
It's really scary what Kenny has become - even Robby is scared (and Robby doesn't even know that Anthony came to apologize, right?). At least that finally made Robby reconsider things and realize some truths.
Johnny is pushing Miguel a bit too hard or rather doesn't listen / can't read his feelings enough - but he means well of course.
Daniel first looking at Sam and then allowing Eli to go into offense was epic :D
Amanda still can't resist interfering. I was show scared when she talked to Tory. She meant well but I think she could've phrased that much better. As far as I understand she just wanted both of them to fight fair.
Her face when Sam landed her first hit on Tory was priceless though xD
Daniel finally wanting Johnny's help was probably the best moment of this episode. I'm really relieved that the two of them might finally manage to get along! So great that both of them apologized for their mistakes <3
Kreese is also getting around a bit - leaving the choice to Tory. Looks like he does indeed really care about Johnny. Kreese still has quite a far way to go though...
The fight between Sam and Tory was very close and I really like that. I kinda want neither of them to win/loose. I'm definitely team Sam but Tory had it really rough and I don't want her to constantly loose (I don't want Sam to loose either but she has enough good things in her life and she probably even needs to loose for once to get a bit grounded again but loosing against Tory will really suck of course - given their rivalry).
It's a bit of a nice result that Tory won but would've lost without that corrupt judge. Sam was quite sad/upset/heartbroken though.
Tory played fair (apart from that accident but it really seemed to be an accident) so she deserves to enjoy her victory. Her finding out about Silverhand's deal certainly changes things though... I wonder what she'll do now that she knows the truth.
Robby is finally coming around!!! I'm so glad that he's sick of hating his dad and finally seems to seek some help.
Silverhand sacking Kreese (his "weakness") makes things really interesting at Cobra Kai. I really wonder what'll happen to both of them now. Maybe Silverhand will drift of and loose eventually while Kreese will manage to reconnect with Johnny?
Speaking of Johnny: He also won't have it easy. Miguel might really need him (as his life might be at risk - his father not knowing that he exists seems quite dangerous), Robby could really need him as a father now (and Johnny wants to be his father), and Daniel could also need him to help.
At least Daniel already got additional help by bringing Chozen on board (which is quite exciting - I'm really curious how that'll play out).
I'm really looking forward to the next season - so many exciting possibilities! :) I can't wait to see how things will play out (I'm also a bit scared but I trust the writers by now).
It was kind of stupid how they set up the fights at the end. They stated cobra kai only needed 1 match and put the guys against each other, knowing that the women were gonna have a fight too duhhhh because why wouldn't they, so obviously Robbie was gonna lose.. This show is getting a little out there. Personally, could have done without the tacky shirtless fight. Pick a lane already Johnny and Danny.
Wow this was so much better than I expected. I was skeptical at the start of the season. Happy that Cobra Kai is still alive

That Robby v Eli fight was crazy good. Probably the best of the series.
