This James Beckett dude wouldn't be on the news unless he was a figure of note. But if he was just a heroin dealer, then no one would bother interviewing him, because no one would care. People get released from prison all the time without being interviewed. Maybe if he was directly accusing Voight of lying, that would be newsworthy, but he wasn't.
