This really sucks! Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) is a great character/actor and I don't want him gone, he is a massive part of the show and who help to make the spinoff to Chicago P.D happen. When I first started watching this show he was one of the actors who I was happy to see as I knew him from watching "House". Bring him back! They already kicked him off of the "Season Regulars" list and placed him under "Guest Stars".
Well, Dr. Chase once had his own Medical Diagnostics Department, then he had his Firefighters Unit and now he is leaving...
I already ranted about it in the previous episode's comments, but this method of writing off Matt is really terrible and nonsensical.
Regardless, I will miss Matt. Aside from the few episodes where he was upset and acted like a petulant child, he was my favorite character.
I wonder what excuse they will use to explain why Matt isn't returning once the 3 years are up. (Assuming the show is still running, of course. We're almost there, so it's likely that it will be.) Because I highly doubt that Jesse Spencer would return to the show. They probably will simply never mention it again, lol.

Glad Brett and Casey are staying together, never understood how people cant make long distance work especially nowadays with video calls and travel. If you care about the person enough its shouldn’t be that hard. Perfect line by Casey “thats why they have plane tickets, facetime and we have an end date”
Hope we get to see at least one forest fire with Casey and Severide battling it together, that would be cool.
