Burden of Truth 2018

I really enjoy this show! There's definitely an element of crime and crime solving but really this show revolves aorund Kristin Kreuk's character and her return to her small hometown to take on a big case and also just her relationships in this town. There's an awesome young f/f couple on this show with one of them being an indigenous girl and I'm just very invested in their relationship omg.

I've just finished watching the last episode. While watching I was feeling that lots of personal problems were being solved. I opened Trakt and yes, the series is over.

My thoughts? Lots of ups and downs, tears rolling on my cheeks, too many what the f's haha and a job fully completed by the actors.
I've never seen Mrs. Kreuk in any movie/series after Smallville and seeing her in a totally different character... Her facial expressions, her physical reactions, her way of speaking. Damn!

It made me happy to see a minority being represented in every way throughout the seasons. Not giving up, fighting for freedom, for recognition. Love it.

The series is short; there are more cases of injustice to bring to light, but the ones chosen are plentily enough. Congratulation to the whole cast and crew. They deserve a prize :heart:

This is an outstanding Canadian (CBC) series (picked up by the CW in the US). Kristin Kreuk (Executive Producer and Actor) was the draw but the writing and the performances build the audience. Made in Canada:flag_ca: and set in Manitoba (western Canada), it tells stories unique to the area with personal stories that are without borders. The supporting cast bring great performances, especially some new young talent. The stories and casting reflects the demographic of Manitoba featuring some very talented native performers. This series is unique, with great drama and Kristen Kreuk and Peter Mooney have some lovely chemistry. Each season gets better and better. I give this series a 9 (unique) out of 10. [Drama]
