great show! sometimes it drags a little bit, but it's great nonetheless .. I had hoped for some 'hotter' scenes between bones and booth, but in stead she just tells him she's pregnant and then they suddenly live together .. talk about an anti-climax .. I miss the sexual tension between them
The first few seasons are great, but quality starts dropping fast. The first act (the discovery of the body) could almost always easily be part of a sitcom. The season 7 finale is also a giant mess of a plot with lots of sloppy writing, as is the entire Pelant storyline.
It started out great but the quality really dropped along the way.
Brilliant, kickass, strong yet vulnerable female characters with total ownership of their sexuality? Sign me the hell up. Plus, David Boreanaz is dreamy.
This whole Pelant storyline in season 8 is dragging the series down so much, they should just get it over with. We already have one series with an invincible criminal, his endless supply of followers and powerless hero team. That's not what this series is about.

Sadly this season has kind of sucked so far. The mystery is really kind of gone.
I'd never be able to do this show justice with a review. It's twelve seasons of near perfection.
What easily could be another crime show, mixes elements of action, drama, romance, comedy, and even horror; and it does so without ever losing what makes it so special.
The series really is a journey of ups and downs, loses, and wins.
Sure, there might be moments where life impacted the path of the show's direction, but it was going to head there eventually.
Personally, I wish there were more Halloween episodes.
Anyway, the story is centered around a small group if scientists - squints - who work with the FBI to solve murders. The lifeblood of Bones are the characters, who are all fully fleshed out - this is an understatement, they are played to perfection. The obvious standout is our titular lead, Bones. Emily Deschanel presents her with flawless wit and charm, while simultaneously bringing quirky humor out of her awkwardness.
I would recommend this show to anyone and everyone. Fans of The X-Files, in particular, will enjoy the dynamic.
This is a phenomenal show with endless heart... and brains.
It's not bad and thankfully you need only one hand to count the shit episodes.
The end is 100% American mush.
It's fun, but other than that, it feels like some usual, low effort Hollywood-Sci-Fi bullshit (even though it's not sci fi)
I think Bones is a decent show, it's sort of a show you hate to like. You watch the first few episodes and think "why am I watching this?" and then before you know it you are on season 4 and kind of into it.
Sure, the story is somewhat repetitive but it's a nice diversion when 18 months of pandemic means you have watched everything you can and need a good long show to binge on until something new comes out. Having watched this before I know that around season 9/10 I'll be fast-forwarding a lot, but that's a lot of binging between now and then. It's something to half pay attention to while I do other things.
Bones is an awesome character driven procedural that, for moi, never tires or gets old. I could watch this ad nauseam and it still would be a fun watch. Bones, along with series like CSI and Law & Order before it, is a fun 246 hours of entertainment.
I loved to show up to the point that Booth and Brennan got togehther. They have no chemistry and every kiss and passion maments seem forced, which makes it very awkward to watch. 12 seasons was way to long. They should have stop it when they quit on season 10, but don't worry, they decide to come back on season 11 (makes no sense).
It has a competent idea at it's core: solving crime by looking at bones, but since this is TV, this idea was dragged on for TWELVE! whole years so it had to be spiced up with far-fetched technology and insane serial killer stories. Most episodes are also stand-alones that follow the same pattern and the characters stay mostly the same throughout except for giving into long-running relationships midway through. Mostly boring show I have to say even if I'm a fan of David Boreanaz and watched most of this for him. Most of the reason for this existing was for the gory corpse scenes to be honest. Best shows to watch are the cliffhanger episodes and the ones with a special guest appearance.

Great chemistry in the cast, solid writing and good humor. One of the male/female cop/non-cop shows that works well (Mentalist, Castle, etc.). All in all very enjoyable to relax and have fun.
Since I have already written lots of coments on the shows seasons and episodes I will end up by just adding this:
I hope the real Kathy Reich is a more sympathetic person than Dr. Temperance Brennan.
Hey Bones, there's some bones to look at. Let's drive to the scene in your Toyota Prius with navigation that you can tell it where you want to go because you're not the smartest person in the world. Did we mention it was a Toyota Prius? The show looks like it might need to fade out. At this point it seems like it's reaching for ideas and the in-episode advertising is getting ridiculous.

This season has taken a serious dip with a very patchy run of episodes.
Hopefully the spin-off will have better writing and I'm wondering if the staples of Bones didn't head off to this to make sure it's first season stood up.

I have to admit although I've loved this show since episode one I sort of feel they've lost the spark along the way ... I guess they made the right choice when they decided to end it with season 12, it might be time! Anyway I'm gonna miss my weekly dose of Booth and Brennan and the rest of the squints :)
