Really liked the show. It's clever humorous and witty. It has a bit of 'Sex Education' vibe.
BDSM is just the framework of the show - the underlying story and character development is quite deep and emotional
I love these characters and their lifestyle. Cannot express how bad i want to see more!!
Totally loving this show - adore the characters and the theme and I look forward to seeing more of it in the future. That's right; get your stuff together and produce more episodes. These are characters that need more time on the screen!
I binged it and fell in love with this after the first few minutes. Sure it's a show about BDSM (the main idea, but not so much the rules+empathy) and very feminist (but not in the SJW-shove it down your throat way) so it's not for everyone, but it's showing everything in such a cute, funny and likeable way, I like it.
It's generally a fun show but I don't think it depict bdsm pretty well. There's several moments where the consent of some characters was totally overlooked :(
This show is so comfy and warm and fuzzy in ways I don't even understand.
This has the potential to become either a smash hit or the bust of the season. I can see it go either way.
I had some difficulty at first getting into it because on the surface it seemed so cliched. Psychology student working as a dominatrix, gay BFF. It's not a comedy as such althought towards the end it had some really great laughs. Definately not sitcom format. For me it became much better once the focus shifted from the SM stuff more towards the personal issues both have. It's more of a tragedy, really. I like the character of Tiff and Zoe Levin plays her really well. Alltogether it reminded me a little bit of Secret Diary of a Call Girl if only vaguely.
The length of the episodes is an issue with some episode just barely making it to 14 min runtime. I'd say 5 min more per eps would have been good for more substance.
I am not sure where the story can ultimately go, or if they even plan to take it anywhere. I don't see this making it through multiple seasons. Had they switched the last two episodes around I would have been OK with this being a closed story.
So, let's see if there will be more.
I liked! It was very funny . The cute way to see BDSM :supervillain_tone1::female_sign:
I was so conflicted about the 1st season, but I'm so happy that the people making the show seems to have heard criticism because it really elevated the narrative! Absolutely loved the friendship break-up between Tiff & Pete . It felt very real
It's a nice refreshing style and story
Fun and even “cute" show. I love both of the characters and their relationship, I find the show enjoyable but very short. People commenting is not very BDSM and so...
This is more like a comedy and slice of life and that is the important thing of the show, all the “BDSM world" is just the mean for make the comedy instead of being centered on it, and I think that it is what make this a great show.
I never thought 15 minutes could be too long, or that having only 7 episodes in a season could be too many.
I don't get this show. For a comedy, it's not funny at all. For a drama, it completely fails in making me care about at least one of the characters or what happens to them. The episodes are just a mix of boring normal things, and a few extremely bizarre situations. It's just ridiculous, and not in a good ridiculous way. Gross and weird doesn't equal to funny. Not for me at least.
The only reason I haven't ditched the show (yet) is because it's so very short. A full season in just 1h 45m! It could have been a movie instead, but they probably realized that no ordinary human could bear the whole 105 minutes in a single take, so they splitted it into smaller chunks instead. Which is why I actually might finish it... as an endurance test, like running a marathon, or feasting, or walking barefeet on charcoals .

update after Season2:
They addressed that Mistress May is not an experienced dominatrix and that she didn't have Pete's consent in season 1. In my opinion this had to be addressed and I hope they keep showing what she did wrong, her way of learning to get better at her job and to develop healthy relationships without her domme side getting in the way.
I like the direction season 2 took and hope they will dive deeper into these characters and why they act like they do. Better than season 1 for me. To be fair, I mostly got stuck with this show because I love Pete/Carter, his Roommate Frank and the German man-servant Rolph, but I start to like Tiff as well.
