Blockbuster 2022

I tried my hardest to watch this show, but I had to dip out after 3 episodes. I didn't find it funny or enjoyable at all and the characters were pretty flat. Disappointing, because I worked at a Blockbuster in 2004 for a couple years and it was seriously the best/fun job and greatest time in my life!

I'm a completionist and I only made it 6 episodes and I honestly don't think I can watch anymore. This isn't good. This isn't funny. It's got a decent premise (though it would have been better set during the 2000s), a great cast but everything is flat. This really feels like that can I copy your homework meme where yes but don't make it obvious and they did it with Superstore. Eliza basically has the same character as Amy, we see plotlines from Superstore - this show just made me wish I was watching Superstore because Superstore is a masterpiece compared to this. Just, not good. This is such a waste because it had the components to be fun but the writing is just... yikes.

Blockbuster is derivative and underwritten, never finding its own voice, the premise is weak and the characters aren’t well established enough to root for them - but it's at least smart enough to try and borrow Superstore's.

Season 2 is planned to be released in 10 years. It will be called Netflix.

it wasn't exactly funny, but as I watched the entire season rather than being the "I watched 1 episode and and left a Karen review" kind of guy, the characters got a bit more interesting and relatable. It was atleast an easy watch.

Blockbuster premiere streaming on Netflix lol. Well this should be interesting...

It tries to be Superstore, but Superstore was better. However, this one is not that bad, and it gets better as it goes on.

Not really sure what the point of this show is. Seems the Blockbuster things is very losing related to the plot. Managed 2 episodes and then gave up.

was a fun show, shame it was cancelled.

And when you thought Netflix originals can’t get any worse…

I was genuinely curious about this very weird premise (Netflix doing a show about Blockbuster is... odd) but in the first 5 minutes there were so many down-punches that it honestly made me uncomfortable.

Well it was okay to watch during dinner so at least someone would keep me company

If Netflix doesn't stop doing TV shows as bad as this one, the end will be the same as Blockbuster.

This show is bad. I watched the first episode and didn't laugh once but I did cringe several times. I don't even want this as background noise. Hard pass.

It’s like a poor man’s version of Superstore. Another garbage show from Netflix.

The show might be boring, but you gotta admire Netflix's sheer hubris to releasing this while they are tanking.

Humor ist different, well this hast none.

1*for trying
2*for setting
THATS ALL

Terrible!!! tried to give it two episodes and then deleted … bad bad bad

I love Superstore, Randall Park and Melissa Fumero and the setting. So this should be good, right? Absolutely fucking not.

Only watched one episode so far but didn't laugh once which considering it's a Sitcom is kinda bad. Feels like they had an AI watch sitcoms and memes and write a new show based on that.

I feel like setting the show in the 90s would actually be way more interesting.

superstore just did everything better

not making it past episode 1 on this one

Superstore knock off, only worse (if that's possible)

Feels like watching 'Superstore'. Even cast is similar. Somebody copied the homework.
