This is a wonderful mini-series exploring Black creatives in Hollywood until the present day. I would have loved for this to have been a longer series so it could be more in depth but as an introduction to Black cinema it was really good. Predominantly a collection of interviews with many creatives in the movie-making industry it offers an insight that I hadn't really been exposed to before. There are a couple of people who it seems strange were not interviewed, such as Spike Lee because his films were discussed a lot in the first 2 episodes, but the interviewees, whether I knew them or not all had fascinating stories to tell. I am extremely surprised at the low viewing figures for this, I would definitely recommend it to film fans & it provided me with lots of films for my watchlist :tv:
