All classic movies/TV I love that include monsters, big hairy monsters, occult, witch craft, and medieval movies that include dragons and stuff. Urban Fantasy is a style of Fantasy where the setting incorporates fantasy elements into a 19th century onwards contemporary society, and set in our own world. It is a parallel to "High Fantasy" which is set in fictional, often fantastic worlds. Many forms of Urban Fantasy present tweaks to contemporary reality where paranormal beings, magic or supernatural elements exist.

Elfpunk: Not necessarily a subgenre of, but related to Urban Fantasy, elfpunk stories have traditional mythological creatures such as faeries, elves, trolls and goblins in modern urban settings. Themes relate their struggle to relate to, interact with or even survive within the context of contemporary society. The mythical creatures are often stand-in as a proxy for making social commentary about race, sexuality, culture.

This list does not include TV shows primarily focused around Werewolves and Vampires, but does not preclude other series where they exist so long as faeries, elves, goblins, orcs, nymphs or other equivalents also have a primary role, and is a contemporary society or an analog-contemporary society akin to the Carnival Row setting.

TV shows are listed when shows are over/cancelled.
