Great call back mid episode. Really enjoyed this one. Very engaging and well directed. Donald Glover has a way of directing that can have me laughing one minute and terrified the next.

Naw man you don’t get to joke why people think you might have an issue with black women in the same episode that spotlights Kevin Samuels. In a season that has devoted more time to him, Chet Hanks, and Liam Neeson than your own female lead or any other black woman. There’s things this episode has to say but Glover’s got his head in his ass and set on provoke mode above all else instead of having a contingent, consistent theme or message or story. He wants to be deep instead of actually delivering a story or showing up for his characters, and listen. I’d have- no, I did have!- a lot more patience for these detours. But hey, when you keep putting racists and misogynists on your show to make a point or whatever, my patience runs out! It’s been dropping every episode and this is my boiling point. I thought back when Donald Glover interviewed himself and questioned himself about black women and how ridiculous all that criticism is that Donald Glover makes it so hard to like Atlanta sometimes. Nowhere is that truer than this episode.

The best of the season not involving the main cast. Funny af and thought provoking.

I think this was my favorite of the one-offs this season. Casting has been out of this world for these episodes too.
