"Robert Queen. You have failed this marriage"
After recent events, I guess that having a kid outside their marriage runs in the family. I was suspecting the new Green Arrow was a girl and that she somehow was related to Robert Queen, but I've got to say that I loved her introduction. That scene (and the whole episode, in general) gave me S1 vibes and I absolutely loved it.
I have so many questions about this (un)mystery girl. So she's Robert's daughter and who's? Isabel Rochev, maybe? I mean, two seasons ago we had the story of Robert killing that guy, so why not bring back the whole story with Isabel Rochev? And did Robert knew his daughter before he died? 'cause it definitely looked like it. How many lists did Robert have? How many of them did he send to their kids? If so, when did he send them? How many kids who are tasked to right his wrongs does this guy have? Does he have one child in every continent to ensure that his wrongs are righted?
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I get Felicity's point. She wasn't as unnerving as she usually is. However, I don't buy her portrayal of this new Felicity. It looks really unnatural for her to act like that. Like I said, I get where she's going, but I'm not sure if that fits the profile.
It's easy to look it up from Oliver's perspective because we love him and we hate Felicity. I'm overgeneralizing, btw. While it is true that actions have consequences and that said actions affect the way you see and behave, as well as shape you into a different person, ialso get Oliver's point. On the one hand, Felicity had to live in fear and terror for so many months, watching over her shoulder so that Diaz didn't come and killed her and William, but there was something in her acting (we all know her dramatic acting is not her strength) that screamed "Oliver, I blame you for this". I know she actually said it otherwise, but that was what I got from her acting.
If there's anything, Felicity was very reasonable this episode. She wasn't looking for an apology. She was stating a fact Oliver was just surprised that she's willing to kill someone and to use a gun. But that's only due to the stress she's been unto these past few months. And I get what oliver wants. He's the hero he's always been and he's willing to carry the load of the world on this shoulders but he'll never let Felicity carry any of it. it's a bit of a shock for him. Before prison, to Oliver, Felicity was this sweet girl who worried about him and William. And the next thing he sees is that she's willing to go beyond what's legal to get what she wants. I sort of like that attitude and I don't mind it in her, only if she stops complaining and putting people at risk. I still remember that episode when Diggle apologized to her when she was the one who almost got him killed.
I'm a tad sorry to say this, but in these apst couple of episodes, the writers have proven that Felicity doesn't belong to this show anymore and the writers are cosntantly trying to make her fit. But she doesn't. I loved Oliver's line "I liked the old you" or " I fell in love with the old you". So damn meta. Like, yeah, me too, Oliver. I loved Felicity when she first came into the show, THat shy, clumpsy, nerd girl who was once my favourite character and not this one.
That said, I don't beleibe for a second that she'll go full villain. I think they're misleading us with that. There's only one thing I agree with Felicity, It's not like she's blaming Oliver for what she's going through, but her present sitaution is a by-product of Oliver's decision. I think Oliver overreacted when she took the gun. I mean, she got assaulted in her house and she's got a right to do it, so...
However, some of her lines made me laugh. "I had to survive", really Felicity? That had me rolling on the floor. Yeah, we all know it got rough for her when Oliver was away but she got too overdramatic. At eleast taht's what her acting showed. And also, she was beingg a bit dramatic when her tech failed. Sometimes I think she needs a reminder of who was actually on the island and who survived prison.
So Oliver now is basically going to be Supergirl and the DEO, right? That's actually quite nive, although Ollie's family is still gonna ahve a target on their backs.
So, here was I thinking that Diaz was gone, only to reappear again and for Dig to conveniently need his help with something. Although I love Kirk Acevedo's acting as the Dragon, I swear Prometheus didn't die for this.
Also, that girl to the left of the screen when Oliver came to the precint with Dinah and the guy arrested...Did you guys see her face? If you haven't, check it out. I absolutely loved her reaction.
Hi everybody! just a thought... could be possible that the mysterious green arrow come from another earth or queen from past/future? maybe response in the crossover?
Nice 1990 Flash appearance. They even played the song from the 1990 show :O.
Post credit scene was the same as supergirl, why? Could of teased a bit more for next week
i get that the cw likes to revive their villains (damien darkh, reverse flash, etc) but i'm done with ricardo diaz. he was a cool villain and last episode was absolutely amazing but it's done now. please don't let that diggle/lyla teamup with diaz thing be a big storyline
How far in the future are the future events? Seems like a waste of time having them.
And here I thought we were rid of Diaz for good. Damn it.
Honestly, I don't know why the writers keep wanting to break up Felicity and Oliver. "What's best for me right now might not be what's best for us." What is that even supposed to mean? Felicity has been talking nonsense like that for years and years, and it's just bad writing.
I also find it a bit out of character for Oliver to suddenly be the type of guy who likes it when his woman is weak and needs taking care of. I mean, he liked Sara and Shado just fine. I get that he's shocked that she's become more ruthless, but jeez - it's not like she hasn't done things like that before, and perhaps instead of being upset that she's 'changed' or that she's willing to shoot a guy (who's attacking her in her home, by the way, and who he's been beating on with his bare hands for the past 3 minutes), he should be concerned about her pretty obvious PTSD. In fact, he should be able to recognise that when someone says "the old me was WEAK" what they usually mean is "I feel weak right now."
Also, what is it with these "the future is nothing but horrible" storylines on Arrow, The Flash and LoT? And why do none of these dystopias reference each other?
Very nice post credit scenes. Classic justice society of America appearing is so nostalgic
boring somany epsisodes with same people over and over again. when people die they always comeback

As glad as I am about Oliver finally being out of prison, I still think this public face/working for the cops sucks. Sucks big! I hope they use the upcoming reality bending to fix this mess.
