Every scene with the FBI agent is terrible. I am supposed to believe/feel she is a tough FBI agent, not see and actor trying to be a tough FBI agent. No suspense really to any of these situations and Black Siren or what ever she is called now is really just a poor sidekick and does the exact same thing on every episode.
I do enjoy seeing Michael Emerson but feel I only see a combination of his 2 previous famous characters not a new one.
Solid episode with some outstanding moments. Auntie Thea's awake! It's a Thanksgiving miracle! Seeing Oliver in the GA suit is a amazing. I need him to go back in the field.
I'm so glad they aren't keeping secrets and telling the truth. Well, except for poor William. I'm loving this kid more and more. His scenes with Oliver are so sweet and tender. And he called him dad! But poor kid. He's kidnapped by a psychopath, loses his mom, finds out the GA is his dad and once everything is going back on track, his dad gets arrested right in front if him. Damn you, agent Watson. I love that there's finally a competent cop on the show but this FBI prosecution thing is getting out of hand. I'm looking forward to seeing what that irrefutable proof is, though. I'm guessing it has something to do with that photo of Oliver in Russia Susan had last season.
It's a pleasure to see Michael Emerson act. It's the subtle way in which he says things that I love the most. Genuinely menacing. "Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war". He even quotes Shakespeare, what's not to like? Going through all that trouble just to have a conversation with Oliver was weird.
Katie Cassidy is enjoying herself with Black Siren and so am I. But what are her motivations? She's working with Cayden James for a reason and I refuse to believe it's just because he saved her life. There has to be something else. They were quite fun together, though.
I know this season is all about family and father-son bonds but is every single character on the show going to have a son? Cayden's son is probably random character number 52 who died off screen but for some reason Ollie had something to do with his demise, but his actions led to his death.
I liked Curtis a lot in this episode. He's finally getting some character development. I'm glad he first called Felicity out. He was right all along. She was a hypocrite when she called Curtis out for using their prototype, especially when spending the money and naming the company after a terrorist organization. At least both of them apologized.
I really loved the Dig-Ollie conversation. Very well-written and acted. Both were great and Dig had some fair points. I loved how they addressed last year's crossover and that Dig's dream was being the GA, which will only mean that Ollie's perfect life was with Laurel, right?
Dinah was great. Her scene with Quentin was pure emotion. It's insane that she has chemistry with literary EVERYONE.
Rene is a national treasure. He loves Billy Joel! If this episode had had him as guest star I would've lost my shit. "Hossette!", lmao. I can't help but loving him more and more. "I'm not gonna pull it like I did in high school" instead imma throw a freaking knife at it. Goals. "I'm a fan, in a mask", lol.
"State vs Queen", where have I seen this before? I loved to see Moira's lawyer. If only Chase were alive to be his legal defense, lol.
The techno-nonsense strikes again, not as much as episodes ago, but still. Felicity and Curtis just created an algorithm from scratch in less than one minute by just angry typing. Unbelievable.
How is Ollie going to make it to Barry's wedding if he's been released on bail? So excited for the crossover event and happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
If it were not for the action sequences I'd have thought I was watching an episode of Suits. Drama, drama, apologizing, drama, drama on top of, rehashing scenes, plots and reactions ("Can you explain that in English")
Well at least they had some Billy Joel-concert footage in there right?
Emerson plays his two previous roles (Lost and Person of Interest) but is still enjoyable. The rest just needs to be overhauled in my opinion: Less drama, more fun, less idiotic stuff wrangled in to show us there's still some fun.
I'm sorry I apologize for being giving this show yet another less than stellar review. I don't wanna lie to you, but i can do it if it's temporary, if I'm just uhm stubbing in for the real Arrow.
All in all I'm still eager to see what comes next... Something that can't be said for a show like Suits.
I think I’m liking Oliver as a dad more than Oliver as the green arrow right now... CRISIS NEXT ! Only the earth x one, but I’ve been watching all 4 shows non stop trying to get to this crossover and arrow was the last I had to catch up on
I think I must have slept through an episode or two. What happened to Thea?
Harold as a bad guy
It was very obvious from the beginning that something would happen that would make the anti-vigilante bill pass, but why did they not immediately release the evidence they had that those people were not real cops? That's easy to prove and they have a current lieutenant, a former captain and the freaking mayor on their team, any one of them could have gotten out a statement revealing that. It would have been more interesting/believable if those people had actually been real cops and there was no bomb at all, not even a decoy, just something that made it look like there was to Felicity's systems.
Man, what's the FBI lady's problem? She totally has it out for Oliver. It feels a little too personal, if you ask me.
I cringed when he lied to William's face, but I do hope Oliver goes back to being The Arrow soon. I love Dig, but he's no Oliver.
The Auntie Thea bit made me aww out loud. Getting William on the show was a really good idea. I hope the Queen family keeps on growing ;)
Katie Cassidy is enjoying herself and I am enjoying her. Truly amazing.
