Season 13

Okay first thing's first, RIP Jessica Walter. Nobody will fill her shoes, the sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll enjoy what Archer is from now on. All that being said; honestly if you're an Archer fan and you are able to recall how weak some of the past seasons have been... overall this season is fine, even good in certain episodes. I'm biased as a die-hard Archer fan (I'm gonna watch until cancellation/it ends) but yeah I enjoyed all of the new elements/characters in S13.

I really love Archer, but at this point, I honestly just want it to end. The characters are, at best, annoying, and at worst, walking tropes. Cheryl, Krieger and Cyril have gradually been reduced to just insane, just mad scientist and just a punching bag, while Lana might be at her most unlikable yet after slowly degrading following the end of Vice. Supporting characters like Fabian, Robert and AJ actively suck out my soul with their unreasonable amount of annoyingness. The only characters I still genuinely find amusing are Ray, Pam and Archer himself. Malory being gone doesn't help either, of course (R.I.P. Jessica Walter). Despite all that, Season 13 isn't bad, just painfully mediocre. Even the three coma seasons were marginally more entertaining than this by being so bafflingly bad and nonsensical that you can at least view them as some kind of wild fever dream. Yes, their jokes were awful (I'm still not over "space everything"), but at least they landed sometimes. It would just really hurt if this show were to get dragged out for so long that it loses all of it's soul.
