Interesting episode..., enviro-preachy, then Archer-introspectivity flashbacks, with a side of female Kreiger psycho-ganger, a bestial, murderous, eco-douchbag, and as a bonus,.. full Cyril testicular retraction.
But sadly, no Prison Tats.......
And more sadly.... RIP to the ORIGINAL James Bond, Sean Connery, of the clan Connery. There can be only one, and, he has began his final mission, returning to the dust from whence he came.... 10/31/2020
Waxing lyrical by the poet known as @Paladin5150 ...this deserves to be seen by others. It is exemplary of what I liked about him on TVMuse (I had simply said, "Cyril was doing so well until those candy bars"):
@vwfringe - ** Hey, it's easy for a potential usurper to the throne to strut around preening and posturing, that is until the true king awakens from his slumbers, and sticks a pin in his puffery. Cyril is like a forlorn son, always trying to please and outshine their ignoring father. He will either rise to his own level of excellence, or dash himself to pieces on the shores of Sterling's awesomeness. **
** IMO Archer is NOT a drunken, incredibly lucky, buffoon, but a well schooled, well trained at his craft, spy, who is pretty much bored with the ephemera of the craft, but, loves the action, adventure and of course the carnality of it all. **
I agree 100% about Archer not being lucky...and, to pull out a hidden meaning behind your reply, which is, simply, "We can get serious about this," I also agree!
Those flashbacks were troubling, but, I believe they say something about how much he cares for everyone on the team. I'll explain, but I do not expect my reasoning to figure into the story: In Richard Bach's novel, "Illusions," he posits that all of the drama in our lives (and the movies we feel drawn to) are for, "Learning and Entertainment." I've come to recognize that is true of the interpretation of dreams; the "Learning" lying in the emotional modelling we do -- trying on different emotional responses, or even how we feel upon awakening about something we, or others, did during the dream. All of the recurring characters of Archer's coma dreamscape must be People he cares about, and, when he flashes back on those dreams during the last life and death battle, he shouts something about his trusted team! They're a little weirded out by his statement, and he tries to minimize it, but...I think it's either saying something about how he cares for them, or, he's losing his grip and sliding back into a coma...AND, I do not think that is possible (any more than we think he is a lucky drunk)!
But, again, pretty unlikely my convoluted reasoning matches up with Archer's writers...let's just hope it doesn't bode badly for our hero!

How much do we give to PBS each year?
Could we just give it these folks to keep Archer going all year 'round?
Or, just...somehow bump up the number of episodes?
Just SUCKS...have to wait another year (grumble, grumble, snarf, snarf).
