It has been confirmed that Archer is coming back (phrasing) for season 11, and, will be also be coming (phrasing) out of his coma, returning the series to it's original secret agent agency premise. Sadly, Adam Reed has stated that this will DEFINITELY be the last season, however, he has changed his mind each year since Season 7, when the show was originally slated to end. (can you say spin off boys and girls???)
Nice Hat Tip to CM's Flerken, "Goose", except these spontaneously dissect rather than devour those that threaten them.

[7.6/10] Good episode. The metaphor of the episode isn’t subtle, but I like the idea that Lana wants to go back to Earth and “settle down” and Archer wants to keep going on crazy adventures and sowing his wild oats, which sets up the essential conflict between them, in this fantasy world and in the real world. (It also works nicely as a metaphor for people who want the show to stop the genre hops and go back to the real world -- as Archer winkingly referenced in the last one.)
The more I think about it, the more “Archer 1999” feels like Archer’s psyche and development and growth in miniature, with all the issues he’s been working out over the show’s first six seasons coming to the fore. I’m not sure where the show is going with it just yet, but it’s definitely interesting.
Again, it’s not subtle, but I also like all the references to Lana’s maternal instincts starting to kick in. The comic turn around of Lana finding the little space ocelots adorable but them wanting nothing to do with her, while Archer is the anti-parental one but they love him, is both funny and dramatically rich for the two of them. Plus hey, the damn things are just cute.
But beyond the highfalutin psychological stuff, this is just a nice little Archer adventure. There’s a lot of Star Wars here, from the lower case death star, to the swing across a chasm, to the escape into a garbage dump, and the show makes good use of all of it. Cyril having to deal with Cheryl makes for an amusing pairing, and Cyril’s panic over not knowing how to work the pirate control panel while there’s a ticking clock is a good one. Krieger’s anxiousness to help, and subsequent dismissal is an amusing running gag. And the whole bit with people accidentally exposing themselves as humans when they speak english is a good laugh as well.
As with the other bits in the episode, it’s a little too signposted, but I like the idea that Archer is not just subject to “bad captaining” but that he’s intentionally (or subconsciously) assigning people to the wrong tasks because it makes Lana have to stick around to fix things. And the two of them mutually deciding that they have to keep the space ocelots is a nice little resolution and metaphor for the two of them coming together to look after adorable little ones (like Aberjean).
Overall, this is an episode with a strong metaphor, and some good Archer hijinx to boot.
