Beginning was boring but as the story progresses, it became interesting. Because of too many cliches it felt like i was watching a parody of some anime. Overall I liked it. Definitely recommend everyone to watch.
I enjoyed this series a good deal but it was much too short. The premise was interesting despite a bit of a slow feeling start. It just took awhile for the characters to properly explain the mechanics of the world they were in.
The animations and music were well done, not jaw-dropping but good. The story itself had some good points and I didn’t expect the final twist in the last episode. However, the story still felt rushed and I think I would probably enjoy the story better if I read through Key’s visual novel of this story. If I had to guess, the story is probably more fleshed out and better paced.

This was weird all along. Some fighting, pretty weird humour and often over-the-top. It got pretty good rating, but wasn't my cup of tea. Somehow some kind of highschool musical drama I suppose?
The visuals have been stunning, maybe too stunning. I didn't feel much anticipation and excitement for the next episodes, and there is barely tension, overall pretty lighthearted.
Rating: 5/10
why do this........Don’t goggles ghhhh
just dont watch dont even give it a shot !! there r much more anims out there so there is no need to watch this fu**ing damn anime it will give u headache !! 2/10
This was the second anime I've seen. I really really enjoyed it, and it's a big reason I kept watching animes! :)
Fans of the anime may be interested to know that Key have finally set a release date for the first volume of the upcoming Angel Beats Visual Novel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8campmH6TI
Of course, this will be released in Japanese only at first, but with the success of the recent Clannad English release kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sekaiproject/clannad-official-english-release), I am hopeful of an English release someday too :)
There will also be another "Special episode" OVA released around the same time.
Don't let the character design and school outfits fool you into thinking this is one of those cheap high school harem angst show. I was pleasantly surprise how well the characters, stories, and humor were written. One of my favorite series.
Good show but it was WAY too short. This should have been 24 episodes at least in order to really flesh out the other characters and their backstories. Still, it's a great show.
One of the best, most emotional, finely crafted anime of all time. Something I can recommend to absolutely anybody.
It's a great (and very emotional) story. Still, I watch Angel Beats! to get sad and it's highly effective.
This is one of my favorites animes, this one is pretty good, a lot of comedy, drama, action and music.
More than half of the show is boring but the ending is so interesting that I want to see what happened next...
Really good, but should've been about twice as long as it was... could've been so much more...
Sad ending, senseless battle reason and most of character shown were not even covered by story.
It have good amount of comedy and tragedy story alike but else is just like a filler
Could have been way better if covered story in detail in more episodes or seasons
oh! Angel Beats it really turned out to be great its really good
Everything turned out well even if the ending was sad.

Yeah, I love this series. I've always been a fan of Key anyway and I remember being so stoked when I heard about this new project. For what it's worth this ranks in my top 3 Key works (along with Clannad and Rewrite, the latter of which sadly doesn't have an anime adaption(yet...?))
If you've seen other Key works like Clannad, Kanon or Air, you probably already know that they tend to enjoy mixing comedy with tragedy, often whiplashing you between the two very quickly. Whilst these elements are certainly present in Angel Beats, and whilst the pasts of some of these characters are still pretty horrible and tragic, I don't think the series generally wallows in it as much as other Key works perhaps did.
The series has a nice mix of action, comedy, music and drama and it works really well. It also has TONNES of characters (A trait it shares with Little Busters I guess) which sadly, due to the series only being 13 episodes long, don't all have time to be developed to their full. Still, they are all a fun and silly bunch generally, and watching their antics is very enjoyable indeed.
Finally some good news for anyone who wanted more. Key have finally announced that an Angel Beats Visual Novel will be released in 2014. By the looks of it, it will be released in separate chapters (or beats), but hopefully this will give people a chance to learn more about the characters that didn't get much screen time in the anime (well, assuming it ever gets translated :D)
