"you may look like a motion picture dreamboat, but you can be the biggest freak of them all!" - i think this sentence can explain the entire season.
Really enjoyed the first episodes of this season, but it quickly lost the plot... I thought the ending was a "easy" and was expecting more than this.
Best season next to hotels.not a single bad episode.
Dandy: "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you".
Cleaning made: "I hate you too boy".
American Horror Story, from my point of view, is not just a show with loud jumps scars or cliché characters, no it's a TV show that only shows graphic stories that always end up having a good ending or a bad ending to those in the show, and it sometimes always end up bad for them.
What I liked so much about Freak Show was how the show dives in into that gritty, dirty and uneasy feel to it that the 1932 film Freaks (Which is what the show is borrowing) never had. Just add in a Patrick Bateman look a like and add in a terrifying looking clown and you totally get a true horror story.
Jessica Lange is probably the best actress working today and she fit's right in this show, because she can pretty much play any role and nail it and here she dose once again. The character that she plays Elsa Mars is kind of a mix bag for me. One minute I feel sorry for her and the next minute I hate her for her actions in the show. As I said before, a mix bag character, but Jessica Lange played the character well, I got all the torment, the hard work of trying to get her fame and yeah she can by selfish at times trying to get that fame but it shows how she really wants to be loved by people around the world, and it only took about loads of deaths to do that.
The rest of the cast all did good. Finn Wittrock who played Dandy is a true rising star, because he played such a good copy and paste Patrick Bateman in this and he did great.
For problems: Neil Patrick Harries character started off great and I like the fact that his deeply crazy with his Chucky like doll and I wanted to see what will happen to his character but the way the show left his character felt like a cop out and a huge disappointment. The final episode of Freak Show didn't really end very well just like Coven. It's not the worst finale like Dexter or True Blood, but it did left me a bit disappointed that the fact the show had to end like that.
Overall rating: Freak Show is a solid season for me. It may have it's ups and downs between episodes, but beside that, AHS fans have a lot to like with this and coming from guy who isn't a huge fan of the show, I enjoyed it
This season starts as rather uninteresting and slow-paced, but gets better during the second half. I was not much satisfied with the ending though: like in Coven it felt again kind of improvised and all over the place (they kept most characters alive and randomly started killing them off during the last couple of episodes just for the sake of it, and honestly it had zero emotional impact). The theme of diversity has been treated in the most obvious ways: the "diverse" ends up being more human than normal people and the likes. At least no one was truly noble this time, everyone got their own dark secrets and flaws, which made the relationships between characters mostly interesting. As always great acting and good characters sometimes affected by shallow, underwhelming writing.
Not bad but my least favourite season so far. There were a lot of characters I liked or were intrigued by but I didn't feel like the show delved deep enough into any of them except maybe the twins. I still enjoyed it but I hate that Dandy was such a trash character but he was also my favourite to watch.
Unless I can be convinced sometime soon, I think I'm going to just skip ahead to the next season. This one is barely interesting me.

A quick review to all the 1-3 season until I talk about Freak Show, just to get my thoughts on the previous seasons: AHS season one in my opinion started off okay, I'm not saying it's bad, just okay. But season two is when it picked up for me. Season Three was good, but not has good has season 2, but still overall good. Now for Freak Show and I got to say it's far far better then season one and season 3.

Loved the first three seasons but this season just didn't work for me. Every time the show started to play out as horror, it fizzled just as quickly as it began ultimately turning into a drama (and a depressing one at that). This season was pretty boring and definitely not horror (I've seen more horrific episodes on Criminal Minds). Characters were good, and I like the returning actors but again...not a horror story in the least.
this season is the best one up until now for me, no doubt! the characters are so awesome this season, I can't choose which one is my favourite: E.Mordrake is marvelous, the creepy clown is so awesome and Dandy.. Dandy is what makes this season so good.
really, really good season all throughout
A good season, and I found a lot of relatable characters through every episode. Not the best, and still not that scary but very enjoyable and hard to stop watching.
Most boring and average season so far. Pretty disappointed to be honest.
It wasn't as scary as the earlier seasons but I loved this one just as much as the others, mostly because of Dandy Mott.
Tried to get through this season but it totally lacked the luster of seasons past. Couldn't hold my interest no matter hoe hard I tried to like it only thing I did like was the song covers performed, that was pretty cool. Made it to episode 4 and decided to move on to season 5.
There is something special about any given season of American Horror Story. How it begins and how it ends tells a complete story, but depending on the season, the rest might just be boring. The first season was okay throughout, but every other season could have simply been better. The 4th season had a nice theme of tragedy, which ultimately helped. You never knew who would live or die, and that helped you keep watching. The rest was unnecessary.
I mean, we are talking about a freak show... Something that may be interesting, but never scary. So I'm not sure what Ryan Murphy was thinking with this one. I do, however, have high hopes for Hotel, a horror theme I've always been a fan of.
Esperava bem mais desse final!
What a load of Quatsch.
Started out strong but it felt like it was trying to put too much in and then forgot it was a horror instead of a drama. Kinda piecemeal by the end
