lol Joel, when irrigating your ear, don't point the ear upwards point it on an angle downward and carefully and slowly flush out your ear, too much pressure can injure your ear. If it can flush out wax it can flush out a fly!
But I'm not a specialist, but I have had my ears flushed many times. Although in those cases I just keep my head straight but you have like a Jellybean shaped bowl to hold underneath your ear to catch the water and wax.
