Not everything was exactly like in the book, but I would say it was close enough. I found it interesting that they introduced a gay relationship between two of the characters, which might have been what Agatha Christie hinted at, but did not explicitly write. Generally, I for once enjoyed this adaptation.
Re-watching this one, it's interesting to notice that so far, while Marple has plenty of queer representation - none of them end up good. It definitely tracks with the time this was created, but it is still a stark realization.
