Damn, that was probably way more depressing for me than it should have been. It reminded me of the suicide/euthanasia on Nip/Tuck, so the mental image was of the woman there taking the drugs and then putting the bag over her head... And that was years ago.
Absolute gem of an episode, Carpool Kamikaze.
They're making a fuss over kids' portions only being for kids and apparently costing the business if grown ups were to eat them, but still overcharge for what's very simply food out of a can and right out the freezer box. Probably doesn't cost them even 1£.
Ok, fish fingers kids love, and whole fish adults love, but sometimes we like things we used to have as a child. I’m going to a local cafe tomorrow to order from the kids menu!
The fish fingers and beans scene was driving me nuts! Is something like that normal, in the UK? Because if it is, it's retarded as hell! If it's on the menu, any adult should be able to order it for themselves. It was a funny scene, but the waitress' reaction and argument really got on my nerves.
Ricky Gervais may be known as a comedian, but this show is heartbreaking as fuck! I absolutely love the bleaker tone of the two episodes, so far, but I was definitely not expecting the show to be like this.
What he's doing here reminds me a bit of what Jim Carrey is doing in Kidding, though After Life seems to be a much more depressing show.
