damnit! what an emotional ending.
Unusual for the series, The End is a single episode adaption instead of usual two parts. This undoubtably compresses certain developments without as much room to flourish. On the other hand, the novel does not have nearly as much events as earlier books, so I can accept the showrunner’s decision.
The novel is far more ambiguous than this episode and I think this episode strikes a better balance of hinting some of the answers.
Three amazing scenes:
1. Incredible deadly viper delivering apple is biblical with great timing and execution.
2. Kit saying goodbye to Beatrice and the Baudelaires brings much closures for the children. As sad as the scene is, the children finally got to say goodbye to someone they care about.
3. Lemony Snicket meeting his niece. The scene can only be described as beautifully bittersweet.
Great jobs to amazing cast and crew for crafting one of the most beautiful looking series that remain extremely faithful to the spirits of the books.
That was an abrupt and somewhat anticlimactic ending to an otherwise good story.
good luck trying to make me shut the fuck up after watching this it's nothing but tears here in chaostown baby
A bittersweet, sort of rushed ending!
I don't know, I'm a little underwhelmed with how it all wrapped up, especially given how whimsically and action-packed every other chapter was concluded. Felt anti-climatic and somewhat boring.
I grew to like the ending of the books, but this ending was much more satisfying, especially that lovely final scene.
I would love to watch a Netflix adaptation of the All the Wrong Questions prequel series.
That ending wasn't as satisfying as I'd hoped. It felt abrupt and cobbled together.
My ass is on fire.

A nicer ending than the books. The book ending left me with more questions than answers. This ending is more satisfying. Yet still too faithful to the books ending. While it’s a more happy ending there’s still questions in the end that were never answered.
Spoiler warning: For instance. Season 1 teased us season long that the Quagmire parents were the Baudelaire parents. Yet, now that we know they aren’t. The writers wrote them out basically and they are never reunited with their children.
I guess since it’s a coming of age story. About children learning to not need the help from grown-ups and growing up. So just like the books. The Baudelaires and Quagmires aren’t reunited with parents that are teased to be alive.
