What a whimper of an ending. Most of the episode was fine - the sniper and then subsequent random second shooter with perfect timing was nonsense, but overall, it was decent. But when Chloe was revealed to have been taken, we all immediately thought it was going to be a surprise return of Tony. But, no, just more boring Russians. How dull.
Overall, this season was fine. Mainly because it was half-length, and therefore had less time to waste on bullshit side plots that don't matter. A nice brisk pace suits this show very well. Other than that aspect, it was a somewhat weak season. But it was still an improvement over the last few.
Finalized season ranking: S5 > S4 > S1 > S3 > S2 > S9 > S7 > S6 > S8.
I'm just glad to finally be done with this show. I was ready for it to be over during S7, but we had to stick it out. It took us almost a year to get through this.
I must have started watching 24 for the first time at least a year ago, maybe even two. It's been a wild ride but I must say I've enjoyed every single minute of it and this finale was no different. I'm pleased with how it ended even if it was quite heartbreaking.
Not really sure what I'm gonna do with myself now, this show has been such a constant for so long. In the end I'm glad I watched it all, and I will always fondly remember my time spent watching Jack Bauer's many adventures.
I've enjoyed those 35 days binge... it was an intense ride and I can't wait to relax a little :grin:
