The first half of this film was decent, TV Movie like decen, a 4 out of 10.
Then came the second half, watching this part was like torturous attact on my brain, logic, and comprehension.
First of all, the Rangers were written as red neck dumb and dumber.
JK Simmons was good and tried to carry this PoS, but ended up hurting his credibility. But then again, this film is a family affair.
Written and directed by Michelle Schumacher, aka Mrs JK Simmons and also guess starred by Emily Simmons and starred by hubby JK Simmons. The second half was forced into the film like trying to fit a brick into a bowl. You sacrificed parts of the story, then add the anti-government, anti-law, anti-parenting, and anti-adult messages. I ended up truly disgusted and insulted intellectually by watching the second half of the film.
The only saving grace is Simmons tried his best to carry the weight of the film. And he failed miserably.
Some of the worst acting I've seen in a good while. That mother-daughter combo was too terrible to stomach and I had to stop watching halfway through. JK is too good for this trash, he must be cashing in before retirement.
