Just a really fun live action/animated version of the show to bring it back to relevance, and enjoy with my kids.
:heart::heart: - The film is terrible in acting to direction but if you watched The Carton back in the day you would enjoy seeing Woodpecker doing what Woodpecker does the best.

My nephew put this on on Easter, only reason I didn't turn the movie off at several points. Woody is extremely annoying and honestly, a psychopath. The acting in this movie is also very suspect. I stopped paying attention for 5 minutes and suddenly the dad who hated him was friends with him, then at another point I stopped paying attention for 5 minutes and there were kids in cages, and then mercifully it was over. Even for a kids movie this is really bad.
On the pecking order of part-animated features, this is WAY down there. It's not entirely disposable, undemanding youngsters won't be too bored, but for anybody with fond memories of the original cartoon will be sorely disappointed.
Sempre adorei o Pica-Pau da versão antiga e é um dos meus desenhos preferidos, mas acho que com esse filme desperdiçaram a chance de fazer várias homenagens ao clássico, colocar Easter Eggs, Etc com um roteiro melhor que esse. O filmes lembra um daqueles episódios clássicos que um operário tenta fazer uma construção ao redor da árvore dele, porém bem mais infantilizado. O personagem em si está mais parecido com a versão antiga porém com traços da versão atual. A personagem da Thayla é claramente forçada só pra tentar atrair público brasileiro, ela some no final e ninguém sabe o paradeiro, vai entender cabeça desses executivos, eu fui atraído pelo filmes pra assistir algo parecido com o Clássico, referências e etc, não por causa de ator ou atrizes e não tive nada do que esperava.
Somehow looks both low budget and high budget at the same time... I didn't really find much redeeming here, but my five year old was a fan, cheering on Woody at the end. Even then, I don't think he'd even bother re-watching.
Insufferable. You do not expect much from a movie like that, but kids deserve something better anyway
Predictable and dumb but also somewhat charming.

Woody was annoying for me. It felt like the chipmunks after a while. I don’t remember the cartoon so well but I don’t thinks Woody was sooooo annoying.
The kids liked the movie. They laughed when Woody farted or when he burped.
A lot of actions by the main characters are really dumb. I felt the need to explain my kids that’s not how we need to react to this or that. Also a lot of bad words/cursing in the movie.
I think the best thing about this movie was the old school cartoon after credit. For people not knowing Woody Woodpecker, I would suggest to watch the after credit before the movie.
I’m thinking the jokes and characters of the cartoon don’t translate well in the format they made the movie.
