"Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle and if you really wanna see what people are... all you have to do is look."
Wow wow wow wow. I don't know how else to express what I'm feeling after seeing this movie. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time and one of the most moving. I cried from start to finish. This movie is so, so special. You find yourself empathising with every character on screen. Wonder is a reminder that we should always be understanding, empathetic and most importantly, kind. Everyone is fighting their own battles.
I have so much to say about the cast. Every single casting choice was absolutely spot on. Jacob Tremblay is once again phenomenal and the rest of the kid actors are equally as believable. I've seen Izabela Vidovic in a few roles now and she's so incredibly underrated - I can't wait to see where her career leads. Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson were perfect as Auggie's parents - I wish Owen Wilson would do more of these dramas rather than the usual cheap comedies because he's fun to watch here!
If you're looking for something heartfelt and inspirational, this movie is a must see and deserved a lot more hype! 10/10
One of my favorite movies of the year, it really touched me from beginning to end. Don't think I've ever related to this many characters on one single movie before.
Would recommend tissues
Laughed and cried and felt a hundred emotions in the first ten minutes. Wonder is a touching adaption of an exceptional book and it handles it's story with compassion, integrity, and love. It never gets boring, either - entertaining as well as emotional. Good job :)
Wow, I only watched this movie on a whim, cause Amazon recommended it to me and I'm SO glad I did. Amazing, heartfelt movie. I haven't cried this much during a single movie in a long time, if ever.
Very nice and touching movie with great performances. Julia Roberts sure owns every role but also all other actors were great and the story was just heartwarming.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. It's fantastic piece of art, the story, the kids, the parents and the sister, her friends, his.....its just perfect how they all connect. Beautiful story and very well said. Love this type of movies.
Wow What a movie, teaching us to accept and love without judgement or anything. I hope everyone watch it and learn from it. Got me on tears, fantastic movie, also what happened to that dog hope he is okay too
Great movie that puts you in the skin of the main character, catches you to the end and highly recommended
Feel-good compilation of clichés and unrealistic scenarios.
Great Movie.
very emotional and moving
Has a strong and great message.
Jacob Tremblay is such an fantastic actor.
I enjoyed that movie so much.
Julia Roberts - good as always
Nice movie, specially for those bullying people around. Maybe they’ll learn that what they give is what they’ll receive. And for most parents that deny everything even if put in front of their eyes, take a step back and look at yourselves, you are probably the ones at fault.
Amazing movie lots of messages, beautiful directing and some great perfomances specially from little Jacob!
10/10
Bawling. I love this movie so much. It is so perfect.
Typically, films that are in different perspectives seems kind of inadequate in term of charaters' depth to me, but this fillm is a game changer. there're are some cliche moments but overall, the message is well sent: have a heart and be kind to others and you find life is much more worth living.
A movie that an entire family of varying ages can sit down and watch and enjoy all the way around, actually. Almost impossible to find. And an effective lesson on kindness on top of it all.
Historia de varios temas que jiran en torno al niño... Excelente.
I did not see many reasons to cry watching Wonder, but I definitely smiled many times. It is just adorable. I found it a bit more touching than the book, even. And the Passion Pit song at the end caught me totally off-guard, it was a perfect conclusion.
I think it was a great and beautiful movie. I cried like 10 times.
So fake and plastic movie that made me want to vomit. I tend to love sensitive movies with real and genuine drama but this was not one of them. 1/10. Ps: I'm shocked by the positive reviews, I honestly don't believe that true movie buffs who have watched European cinema would be touched by this superficial and plastic movie.
Touching and very sensitive. A very good adaptation and a well done performance by the young and talented Jacob Tremblay. And Julia Roberts is phenomenal as always. It will make you cry and it will make you happy at the same time. Beautiful.
I want to leave a comment for two reasons.
1 - Halfway through the film I realised that I had been crying a lot. (And just for that I hate this film. Lol) I have just finished watching it and my eyes are still watering (and I have an awesome headache -_-)
2 - This film teaches us a lesson we still can't comprehend. The looks of a person does not tell you who they are. "Do not judge a book by its cover". And just because of this lesson I love this film.
Also, the role of the sister is a very important one: she became invisible to her parents because they were (rightly) too busy trying give their son a normal life.
And this teaches me that a family should never put one of the members aside no matter what.
Thanks to the whole cast and everyone involved in the making of thos great film.
Brings tears to the eyes.
If you google 'best 2017 movies', this movie doesn't appear. It's absolutely unacceptable (it usually finds "wonder woman")
(FYI, "Brad's status" movie (2017), doesn't appear in best 2017 movies listings neither)
This "wonder" movie is a very good movie. And good acting.
I like the poster too (with the dog). Simple and ... I don't know, deep, evocative?
The movie is OK, acting is great and the characters are pretty well buit (although I have a few issues with Owen Wilson being a bit useless throughout the whole thing) but I guess I've been reading some good critics about how touching the movie is that I end up being a bit disappointed when I didn't end up crying, anyways I don't regret watching it and I'm sure any other human being with feelings will definitely enjoy it.
Great movie, not very realistic though. Life isn't a fairy tale as these movies seem to make it seem like. In an actual school, sadly, I do not feel that the story would have played out this way.
Amazing movie, got me touched from the start till finish, a must see for everyone! Top class acting.
Wonder was an emotional adventure from start to finish and kept getting better as the story progressed. There was one particular line that made me cry: "I think there should be a rule that everyone in the world should get a standing ovation at least once in their lives."
A Great Movie
Jacob Tremblay never fails
I just wished It was A Tv show
The characters were really good,I wanted to spend a few hours more with them.
Every Character was Etched really good
A must Watch
Strong 8 not only for the successful story, but also for its way of realization (from different points of view).
Very inspiring and heartwarming. Impossible not to fall in love.
Can Jacob Tremblay please stop starring in films that make me cry. Someone in my screen brought in a whole box of tissues and I’m pretty sure there’s wasn’t much left after 113 minutes.
Heartwarming, emotive and inspiring, Wonder holds fantastic acting across the cast which helps to tell Auggie Pullman’s story. The scenes set in the school were put together extremely well and as someone who didn’t have a great time at school, the twists and turns of Auggie’s friendships really resonated with me.
If everyone can just take one thing from this film it’s that, no matter the circumstances, being kind to each other makes the world a better place.
This a solid family friendly movie that sends a good anti-bullying message. There are some laughs. It felt a little too long. Acting all around is pretty good. Jacob Tremblay really is a great child actor. Worth a watch if you want to watch something with your kids otherwise it's nothing special.
My biggest problem with the movie is Owen Wilson did not say "Wow" one time.
beautiful movie. pure and simple.
I am not crying. I am not crying. I am not crying. I am not crying. I am not crying. I am not crying. I am not crying. I am not crying. I am not crying. I am not crying. Okay, well maybe a little, but the least you can do is stop pointing at me and pass me a hanky! Accept me dammit, and accept the people next to you! While the film does manipulate our emotions a little, it does so with heart. And that message of acceptance it leaves us with is a worthy one. And again, sob!
What a inspiring and beautiful movie with lots of heart, a sense of humour, mixed emotions and a great message with a fab cast. 'Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself'
Shutup! I'm not crying! My eyes are just watering cause I'm tired, God!!!!
What a beautiful movie! <3 so heartfelt and has the most amazing message! Be kind!
Well, get the tissues ready, but this is the first movie I've seen this year I wish was longer. Explored friendship, tolerance and love that made it perfect viewing for this time of year. 8/10
This film is a bit like the post office: It delivered its message well, but didn't use much skill to do so. Wonder serves up the standard "catastrophe / redemption / catastrophe / redemption" cycle and finishes right where you'd expected it to. Definitely a feel good tear jerker for those looking for a feel good tear jerker with no surprises.
It really is extraordinary. It portrays the reality that many children with or without disabilities suffer in schools. Watch and wow!
From someone who didn't find the book that amazing I thought the film was astonishing. I feel like it works so much better in this format. A beautiful and heartwarming story who totally deserved it's spot on the big screen.
Very heartwarming, and very good?? Maybe.
I think it was good, nothing too special, but a good movie nonetheless.
no wonder the movie went to a higher level..screenplay and direction was of stephen chbosky. I spelt that wrong, right? I love the book as it is but I rarely enjoy adapted movies. love it. a well needed cry. lol
Tugs at those heart strings you thought you lost or out grown.
touching, beautiful, pure and in some scenes heartbreakig and moving. loved the book as well.
Amazing brave nice beautifully smart
Was a life redeeming, feel good movie.
Wonder, a movie that without a doubt you will not want to miss. In it we see how August Pullman has to fight bullyng on the part of his own companions, overcome their fears and insert themselves into a world for the unknown and full of people who love their appearance and fear the different. To instruct the performance of Owen Wilson and Julia Roberts as parents of August and Mia to support this beautiful and moving story.
