Wimbledon 2004

Charming and funny, Wimbledon is a delightful romantic comedy that’s inspirational. During his final Wimbledon tournament, Peter Colt meets a fellow tennis star on the women’s circuit that helps him to regain his competitive edge. Kirsten Dunst and Paul Bettany lead the cast and give great performances. The two have good chemistry together and a feel for this type of comedy. However, there are some superfluous subplots that break-up the momentum of the film. Yet while Wimbledon has some flaws, overall it’s a heartwarming and entertaining film.

Ehhh. I'm not sure why I watched it, just running low on things I watch I think, but not being a tennis fan it really didn't do much for me. It wasn't awful by any means. A guy dealing with not being satisfied about being the best player in the game he's played his whole life aims for the top and falls in love. Perfectly decent movie, just nothing special.

I don't care about tennis or any sports in particular but this was a very entertaining movie. I'm giving it 10/10 because it was exactly the right movie for me right now, I enjoyed it very much with its humour and light-heartedness. Very much adored the actors and the story (honestly respect that they made me care about anything sport related to be honest). I know romcoms get a lot of hate but I honestly don't care, this one was great. Definitely added to my list of comfort movies.

Nothing much, just another love story, did not impress too much.
