It is a successful erotic film

More ambitious than the original, Wild Orchid 2: Two Shades of Blue is a dark and seedy erotic drama. After the death of her father leaves her an orphan, a young girl named Blue goes to work for a madam at a high-end brothel. Nina Siemaszko gives a strong, if not uneven, performance; capturing the character’s jaded cynicism and guarded vulnerability. And Tom Skeritt, Wendy Hughes, and Robert Davi prove to be a solid supporting cast. However, the writing isn’t very good, as the plot kind of gets lost as Blue’s conflicts over being forced into prostitution and her loss of freedom disappear. Wild Orchid 2: Two Shades of Blue is different from the first film, but has a lot of the same failings.
