Not as much of a slasher as I was expecting, but it was interesting. David Keith is great in it, and the interplay with other characters and developingrelationships make it more engaging than it had any right to be.
Tricky movie to pin down. It's a slower than average movie but I didn't find it boring. This is what good acting can do for a movie. I almost found it relaxing to watch at times at it cruised on. The music is like a psychedelic version of Twin Peaks. Very good music.
It's somewhat disorientating to follow plot at times due to the time line being cut up and the slow pace relaxing pace but in the end it comes across as a style of its own rather than a fault. Bizarre. Again good acting makes it all work.
As your watching your wondering what's going to happen. Half because it's kind of confusing and half because it's a mystery that you can't predict. The mystery is the identity of the killer but true meaning of the plot, if that makes sense.
The main characters are easy enough to follow but some other characters are more vague. The cinematography is decent. It's at the end where it shines because you find out who the killer is and then you automatically profile him as the viewer based on the information you've learnt in the movie. You wanna know what made the killer that way and what some things meant, but most of its speculation. Also the killer comes across as pretty human instead of some slasher robot.
The final moments are pretty good. Felt like you were rewarded.

Ok I get it, she's being watched. Stop with that overly used eye close-ups. At the beginning we're introduced by this really suspenseful scene and cleverly stylized kill, looks like a promising giallo packed with some decent kills. But no, it stops there. Everything makes absolutely no sense. Unlikable characters keep making dumb and nonsensical decisions. You got these pointless shots of desert landscape and odd camera angles. I slept 3 times. Far from what wpuld I expect from a film about serial killer. Extremely disappointed.
