I liked that the film zigged where it seemed like they were going to zag. This movie has been done several times - I thought the approach here was fairly fresh. Not my favorite movie by any stretch but it was worth the time.

A light comedy movie with a good script, great dialog and realistic funny scenes.
Everything is very natural and enjoyable.
What a fantastic, clever, humbling film! It deals with the fears of middle life, mortality, egoism and our ever-changing post-truth society beautifully. And the theme of subversion (the "Before&After" as Darby puts it) works on all the levels, not just for Jamie's documentary but also for the film as a whole by making us think that we'd get a simple mid-life crisis story but it was so much more than that. It's easily my favourite Baumbach film and in my opinion a better crafted one than Marriage Story.
