Tomorrow Never Dies 1997

I finally realised something about these Bond movies. Q is a time traveler. Each time Bond dies, he goes back and gives him the perfect gadget for the situation. We need a Q movie

Tomorrow Never Dies delivers one of the most explosive and action packed Bond adventures. A media mogul attempts to push Britain and China into a world war, and it's up to James Bond to uncover the plot and save the day. Pierce Brosnan is in top form and takes Bond to the next level. Additionally, the Bond girls, Michelle Yeoh and Teri Hatcher, give strong, engaging performances that really work well. But the villain is weak, and a bit too cartoonish (even for Bond). However, the action sequences are some of the best choreographed of the series. From start to finish Tomorrow Never Dies is a thrilling, edge-of-your-seat adventure.

After watching this movie again, I have to say that I like it much better than I remembered. Only the thousands and thousands of missing bullets fired at Bond are very annoying...

film that illustrates the Brosnan era, good actors/directors, well-run action, Bond distilling glamor and action

Another awesome outing for Pierce Brosnan as 007. There are a lot of cheesy scenes like the shower scene but that doesn't really hurt the movie. The storyline is captivating and the action is quite thrilling. Just a cool spy movie. Also love the title track by Sheryl Crow.

This movie starts damn near perfect. The pre credits scene is so engaging because they slowly set the stakes and then let Bond jump in a fix it all. Then the film sets up the main plot really well, you get a pretty sweet and fresh car chase along with a pretty cool motorcycle chase.

But then that motorcycle chase goes on like 5 minutes too long. After that we just start to degrade into way longer than necessary action that doesn't outright suck. It just isn't awesome. It gets pretty mediocre by the end. Overall though, if you balance it all out you still end on a pretty entertaining addition to the franchise.

I haven't watched the back half of the Bond movies as much. Therefore I don't recall every minute detail. Which leads to kind of a first watch feeling .
Brosnan's second outing as Bond is absolutely in line with the first one and what I understand a Bond movie should be. I like the plot from the point that he who controls the news controls the world. It happens in todays world and probably has for a long time. Media is power. However, I find the character of Carver a bit to ridiculous even for a Bond movie. He's got no style at all. Could've been intentionally, I don't know, but he certainly isn't amongst my favorite Bond villains.
I absolutely love Dench's "M". She's as tough as they come and her whit and dry humor is spot on.

Man it must suck to be in a future where 24 hour news networks perpetuates war for the sake of ratings and sales. I'm sure glad we live in today's reality...

The story is very silly but the action is pretty good.

The only reason I watched this is for Michelle Yeoh and a little bit of Teri Hatcher

This must be the worst of the Brosnan movies. The movie played like a total parody from start to end.
