A film based on the rise of France's extreme right party (Front National) and its leader Marine Le Pen in a backwater town in the north of France (Hénin-Beaumont, irl). While there are a certain number of cliches to be found in the film, it's good enough for us to know that anyone who ranks this film fewer than 5 stars is a desperate member of the extreme right.

The premise of the movie is quite timely and topical, but after a 100 minutes of buildup, we come to a somewhat ambiguous, unsatisfying, and uninteresting ending. I don't know what was the director was trying to say, if there was anything to say at all.
Would not recommend.
