Like the movie "The Wash" but for the "newer generation of adults" is how i see it.
What an absolute piece of trash. Stick to music Snoop!
Here for Snoop. I already knew about his football league but that’s not what this movie is about. Not sure who the audience is for this movie. It’s a funny family movie that is not appropriate for young kids. It’s a fun feel good movie but it’s not a great movie. If you like Snoop you’ll enjoy the movie.
What I like about this movie, apart from the humor, is that it doesn't have any of that progressive tendency..:thumbsup_tone2:

Pay attention to the disclaimer at the beginning. LOL.
But that being said, the movie addresses some of the negative stereotypes used to keep a lot of poor kids down, especially minority kids. From the anglo-saxon protestant holier than thou hypocrisy to the fact they often grow up with colorful language (disclaimer) and get stereotyped for being tougher and "angrier". It really shows how kids are still kids and how they need to have people who genuinely care and that are there for them.
The cast is terrific. The script is adorable. And the heartfelt moments really do pull the heart strings, but that may be from the reality it's based on. Snoop Dogg according to the end of the movie has been running a pee wee football league that helps underprivileged kids play football since 2005, and the movie is based on the kids they have helped. Sometimes truth is better than fiction.
plus the movie had me laughing so much it deserves at least a 9. Couldn't give it a 10, but that's only because a certain propaganda company managed to rub its way in, even if it sort of got called on its inflammatory rhetoric.
9 out of 10.
