Some chuckle worthy moments but fairly predictable
How this was made in 2009 and not 1994 is beyond me. An absolute embarrassment. Will only get more awkward and terrible with time.
Ignoring the fact this movie wouldn't make it in a current Hollywood woke reality, it's just not that fun to watch. Very cliche, typical and predictable.
Well, this didn't age well... I didn't hate the movie but I found myself uncomfortable with the stereotypes it feeds. Some dialogues definitely threw me off instead of being funny. Overall it's watchable and will keep you entertained if you don't take it too seriously and happen to be in the mood for something light like a rom-com. I still finished it and enjoyed some of it, but it fails a lot by being so sexism centered.
It's sad when the picture on the cover is better than the movie.
Naaaaaaah! Just comes off like a (a lot) less charming version of "Someone like you"... Heigl's character just annoys me to no end, and while Butler's character is somewhat witty & charming, he's also a jack@$$... It was sort of okay for passing some time, though, up until the end where it just tipped over and died from sheer unimaginativeliness... (And yes. I just made that word up. Bceuase unlike the producers and writers of the abovementioned movie, I have imagination...! ;P)
