I am a big hockey fan since the mid 80's plus I became an Avs fan after the Roy trade. I watched a lot of those games between the both. Boy, did I hated the Wings back than. But no hard feelings looking back. And this documentary is absolutely phantastic. I had tears in my eyes at the end seing Konstantinov being pushed around the rink by his teammates. You could not invent this story for a feature movie if you had to because a lot of people wouldn't believe it. That shows you that life writes the best stories.
A must see for any hockey fan , Red Wings or else.

A really fantastic documentary of a period I'd never thought would get coverage in the history books/movies.
I was a big hockey and Wings fan in the late 90s. Living in England it made it hard to watch many of the games and I missed the first two cup runs before broadcasts started happening.
The documentary really bought to life some of the defection stories with cool animations. Really interesting to hear why some of the stories I was familiar with happened: like Fedorov playing with cracked ribs and how Fetisov really captained the Russian unit.
My wife enjoyed it and she's not even a sports or hockey fan.
