Not a movie to watch for smiles. I enjoyed the unexpected fuckedupedness and the acting. I'm pretty sensitive so I couple scenes were hard to watch.
This was a tough watch and a little different to what I expected. Will probably require a couple of viewings.
A bit boring? Yes. However, this movie does feature Nicole Kidman's better performances since going all-in on Botox. There are some scenes in here between her and John Cusack's character that give Sharon Stone's Basic Instinct a run for it's money. :eggplant::sweat_drops:
"I've got another side."
This has multiple scenes that are hard to watch, yet I was intrigued til the end. When Cusack plays a bad guy, he is so horrifying and even hard to look at (The Frozen Ground comes to mind). Nicole Kidman surprised me by how good she was, but overall I am not sure if this is something I want to watch again.
This film had the potential to be great but the director's stylistic choices are a let down. There's a disjointed feel to the work which while evocative of the protagonist's experience, is also just jarring for the viewer. Long stretches are slow-paced and languishing but then interrupted by scenes in which too many things are happening at once and it feels overstimulating. I would not recommend or watch again but I'd be curious to read the book.
Olvidaba que ya la había visto :(
Creepy, weird, and then awkward. So how still a solid movie with a chilling story.
Really not that bad.

This was probably one of the most boring pieces of crap I've ever sat through. Should have turned it off after the first 15 minutes.
