Oh my gosh, Zach was absolutely ADORABLE. He’s seriously one of the most endearing love interests I’ve seen in a romcom!
However, I do wish we could have had more actual interactions between him and Zoey, cus right now their feelings felt a little bit random and pretty underdeveloped… Which is a shame cus I think their dynamic had a lot of potential, especially since I love the opposites attract trope
P.S. Did she really just fall in love with some guy for saying he DOESN’T believe in love?:skull: and did she really think that the best way to start a relationship with him was by pretending to be his cousin’s girlfriend??:skull: make it make sense pls:sob:
Mostly very run-of-the-mill but clearly aspired to more. If only they had cast the main roles better considering they seemingly included Andy McDowell and Heather Graham as parents to try and get extra cred.
Zoey’s best friend Elle (Mallori Johnson) seemed miss cast at first but their chemistry improved later in the film. Mallori herself was lovely and probably would have been better cast as Zoey.
Somehow they missed an obvious joke when Elle suggests that the two Zoey’s look-alike when they don't really. If the casting was reversed that comment would have probably either been omitted or it couldn't have slipped by unnoticed unless the resemblance was distinct.

Hold on to your hats, folks! I just watched a RomCom… and I really liked it! I know the likelihood of that happening is 1 in 50 but this was formulaic AND perfectly executed. The casting is great and their performances were charming. The writing has intelligence and we weren’t lulled into compliance by inane comedy. I give this movie an 8 (engaging) out of 10. [Romantic Comedy].
Great production, great actors but the storyline is just something that I can't get on with.

Wow! This movie failed at being cute. Corny, yes, no chemistry and terrible acting. But the storyline was good the execution was just bad.
The ending put the final nail in its coffin. PREDICTABLE! Is it a MUST WATCH? Only if you were extremely bored like I was today.
What does it feels like to suk a huge succulent veiny clash of clans? This film explains it, a la stramurt de mamt director <3

So, a young man wants to know something about a certain video game and he goes to the book store to buy a book about this game, in 2023? Right, that sounds like a very realistic situation.
Otherwise, it's a typical cliche teenage romantic movie, with a bit of a charm to it.
