I've watch it just because of Woody Harrelson, one of my favorite actors! Easy movie, nothing more, nothing less.
an aggressively medicore movie all around
Mostly a funny action movie. Your enjoyment will depend on how much you liked Central Intelligence (it's mostly the same movie) and how much you can tolerate Kevin Hart. He's just not funny. He plays the same character he always does and just won't shut up. You can feel the quality of the movie, going up each time Woody Harrelson is on the screen, and then sharply tanking when Kevin shows up. And btw. Kaley Cuoco is here just so they have another "known" actor in the credits. Her character does nothing, and without her, the movie would be exactly the same.
Ignore the toxic reviews. This is good fun, great action, with some good laughs.
Thoroughly enjoyed this action comedy, a great 2 hour escape, in 4k with Dolby Atmos on Netflix.
The movie is not bad, but Kevin Hart is just terribly annoying. And why does he have to emphasize race? "Why are you asking a black man to steal a police car". What does that have to do with it? Later in the movie "I am boiling that white woman". Why is race at all important?! Stop referencing if its not important. Not everything is about race.
Kevin Hart seems to permanently play the exact same character who just does not stop talking and tries to be funny by just talking too much. Which it is not. Too bad. It is the same as Melissa McCarthy who also can only play 1 single character and is also absolutely never funny with her one-liners.
Could have otherwise been a fun movie if it had a different actor in it.
Woody Harrelson did kill it and is the only thing saving this movie.
Kaley Cucuo her role is so tiny that its hardly worth mentioning.
Story itself is kind dumb and 13 in a dozen. Or perhaps 15 in a dozen. You see the plot "twists" coming 5 miles away.
Anyway. I could smile a few times and it was fine having this movie play while I was reviewing some document for work.
Good but not fantastic.
The beginning is pretty funny and then it gets bogged down, then picks up again and the ending is just your typical 'buddy movie"
Kevin Hart just keeps yammering on throughout the movie with mindless drivel.
The action scene near the end has amazing special effects/camera action.
A good waste of 2 hours and as long as you set the bar fairly low - you'll enjoy it.
7.5/10
kevin hart plays a little basky ball :basketball:
Pierson Fode should do more action films.
idiotic movie. if you want some action candy then go for it. if your are interested in a real movie then avoid.
The logic behind the plot may have been a bit off but it was meant to be funny and entertaining, and it was.
Fella sleep but what I saw was shit so
Damn, too bad movie. Kevin Hart Is annoying, he Is not an actor, just Hart being Hart. He blows a Ton of salchichas to get into a Hollywood, no talent at all,
If you don't expect a deep or intellectual movie, it's pure joy!
It is hilarious af! Go for it if you want to laugh your a** off.
not great not terrible ; very relaxed story and ending
Like cereal the day after you leave it in the bowl in the sink with a little bit of milk left in the bottom: old, soft and moldy.
This pile of nonsense is indistinguishable from every other pile of Kevin Hart nonsense on Netflix.
There could be a decent concept in there with The Man from... men, but in reality... 'The Man from Toronto' is poor.
I like both Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson, and they do make it more watchable than it would otherwise be, but even those two couldn't stop this from being an unfortunately dull watch for me. Nothing about this feels fresh, it came out in 2022 but could've easily come out in 2012.
Hart's performance seems like something we've seen before, with it feeling - at least on the surface - the same as his roles in 'Central Intelligence' with Dwayne Johnson and in 'Ride Along' with Ice Cube. The plots are different, of course, but the vibe is pretty much the same. Hart should stick with films like 'The Upside' and 'Fatherhood', in my opinion.
It's very forgettable. in short. It's not helped by an overlong run time, either.
These two actors make a dynamic duo. Watch more then once.
This movie was funny however it was a bit long.
Hilarious retarded action movie. It's like Central Intelligence but more retarded
I liked it. Not a Kevin fan, but this time his annoyingness and fucked up was more tolerable whenever Woody appeared the scene. It didn't get "too" far before it started to get "too" annoying, they timed it good.
Very very predictable and the CGI just wasn't great. However I did find this funny in parts and overall it was an enjoyable watch but it was in no means a brilliant film.
Well, it's silly/stupid and makes little sense but it does have it's moments. Not really good in any way and I didn't find it that funny but it isn't really a waste of time either.
Tbh I liked that 1969 Dodge Charger 440 R/T the most. RIP Debora... :o
It had it’s cheese specially the bad CGI explosions but had a lot of good moments with some cool action along with a sense of humour and Kevin hart put on a good show along with woody.
P.S i’m the man from barrow
This story looks very similar to the film Central Intelligence, the difference here is that Kevin Hart is trapped in a world crime conspiracy. By the end of the film they were coveted by the entire organization and made it look like a John Wick movie, (which is exactly the same).
Comedy in this film does not need to be asked again. From start to finish, you'll be laughing all the time. But the story feels bland, relying only on comedy from Kevin Hart, so that this film doesn't feel nervous. The action is pretty good. The impression of international crime does not exist at all, as if from the beginning the purpose of the story in this film is not like that.
The story in this film is a combination of the film Central Intelligence and John Wick.
Typical Netflix movie.
I made it to 20mins and that was enough for me. It's unbelievably shit.
The first half of this movie is enjoyably funny but when the two protagonists start to bond, it becomes rather predictable. Not a bad effort though but a sharper script would have improved it.
If you can look past the fact that NONE of the assasins in the movie can actually hit the broad side of a barn while standing in it, you are probably going to have a good time with this movie. Not a great time, mind you. But good. The whole affair is based on a thin, slapstick plot (Kevin Hart is in it, so expect nothing more) but is executed well. The end of the movie leave some loose ends trailing in the wind but all in all you can do worse than watching this laugh-or-I-shoot movie.
Familiar storyline, but it Kevin and Woody so you expect it to be funny. It is a must-watch!
Aggressively mediocre and similar to something Kevin Hart has already done (Central Intelligence). I think the biggest saving grace for this movie is that it did go straight to streaming, because it will at least be worth watching to many. Personally, I am not a huge fan of buddy cop / comedy movies, and this movie doesn’t really do much to change my mind.
Rating: 2/5 - 6.5/10 - Would Not Recommend to Everyone
:heart:x7
This is a delightfully, genuinely fun little movie. It's like watching Harrelson falling in love with a tiny little annoying puppy (Hart). It's not a great movie but it works. There are more than a few funny moments to be found here.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
There's a scene in this movie that reminds me of the church scene from Kingsman. It's ok

this might have been a decent movie if they didn't have Kevin hart.
