This is how a family adventure movie should be done! Plenty of action and suspenseful moments, a gripping plot, great performances from the young actors...all in all, a great flick! Fans of old-school kiddie book serials like Frank Peretti's The Cooper Kids should check this out. The only complaints I have is that the storyteller could have been better, and there was an unnecessary scene or two with some suggestive dancing.
