Haha ... but what if we were trapped in a house with ghosts and forced to kiss on our 18th birthday :point_right_tone2::point_left_tone2::sweat_smile:
Visually absolutely amazing, fantastic athmosphere, but the story itself is absolutely boring and weird.
Whilst being aesthetically captivating and surprisingly well acted, The Lodgers lacks the much needed polish in it's writing and story to raise it above it's peers. Great to look at, but very threadbare.
I have a soft spot for haunted house movies. Thankfully, this one did not disappoint in the least. Creepy from beginning to end and beautifully filmed to boot. Well worth a watch.
Atmospheric, and visually creative, but as for the story? I didn't quite get what was going on. Let me know if you do!
This might just be the most useless movie I've ever watched. Two stars for the nice aesthetic.

Extremely boring and not scary at all!
I mean, there is this curse going on in the movie, but it doesn't make much sense, especially if the only reason it was casted on the family was incest between twins...
At one point the brother even proclaims that they are going to be immortals, but what is the point of immortality if everytime you have to kill yourself and leave your incestuos children-clones behind?
