Based on a bestselling novel, The Lincoln Lawyer is an exciting and thrilling courtroom drama. After slick criminal attorney Mick Haller is hired to defend a young man accused of sexual assault, the case takes some unexpected twists and turns that leaves Mick in fear for his life. Featuring an all-star cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, William H. Macy, and Josh Lucas, the performances are especially good. And, the writing does an excellent job at developing the characters, and at maintaining intrigue and suspense throughout the film. Smart and well-crafted, The Lincoln Lawyer is a compelling crime thriller.
[Prime Video] Rewatched, it maintains some interesting elements and a notable cast of actors and actresses. It removes part of the subplots that Michael Connelly uses in his novel, which simplifies the story, for better or worse. But Matthew McConaughey achieves a character as presumptuous as it is seductive, and in him lies a good part of the virtues of a film directed only with solvency, but without personality.
I really enjoyed watching this film.

I am glad that Matty McConaughey got away from rom coms because his serious roles are pretty good. The story never got boring and gritty/noir style to it, I just feel like the story ended a little short. I know there are more Lincoln Lawyer books, so I wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel.
About 3/4 of the way through I realized I’d had enough of long boring court scenes and gave up. At that point I was only watching for Marisa Tomei anyway.

the best movie genre I haven't see from a long time this movie is SUPER WELL DONE. A Must see. I know a long time before seing a so good movie . And Matthew McConaughey is very good in this one like always ....

Saw this in theaters. Thought it was laughably terrible, just perfect fodder for bad movie podcasts. For years I've seen this thing highly regarded; hell it's at 83% on RT. so I decided to give it another go. I don't know what I was thinking, this movie is a blast! Now I get why some credit it with kicking off the mcconasaince or however the hell you say it. It really is the perfect Mac movie, he plays a cocksure lawyer with nothing but charm and swagger. Great time. Don't know what Kurtis from 2011 til today was thinking! Great movie!
