Destiny is all.
Sad to see the show end but it was a great run.
I think whoever made this was high AF. It's like they forgot the characters personalities.
Anyways this & the show would have a banger if it had a good budget at least.
Pretty enjoyable to watch overall, and I'll certainly take this over no more Last Kingdom at all... but holy moly the pacing of it was breakneck. They could've made an entire season out of this. It would've also been nice to actually have time to spend on, like, character development. (Maybe especially for Aethelstan? Like a redemption/come-to-his-senses arc that feels a little less like "OOPSIE!")
Fantastic
A great end to the show, loved the feast hall scene at the end.
DESTINY IS ALL
Initial thoughts.... This is what happens when you try to cram a seasons worth content into a 2 hour segment.
What value is there to make Aethelstan gay except to check off the gay check box.
A fitting end, very enjoyable. Just like the tv series, same quality just in a movie, what’s not to like!
Final scene in the feast hall was a great end
Was just ok, I didn't really feel like it was needed, but a nice send off to our hero all the same.
I waited for this and all I can say is I love it!! Wish there were more to come but all good things come to an end!! Thank you
Not at all like the show. Disjointed, unorganized, impossible to suspend belief for odd character choices. It was nice to see some familiar faces on screen again but it was a slog to get through. Skip this and rewatch a few of your old favorite scenes.
felt very rushed. could have needed an hour more time, I hope they release a longer, uncut version
The last Kingdom "The message" is what this should have been called. Gay washing an established series is what Netflix et al insists on doing these days. This is at best pseudo "history". Typical woke hive mind propaganda masquerading as entertainment. This movie is yet reason to cancel your Netflix subscription.
A worthy conclusion to an epic tale.
Glad to see they gave it the rightful end as England gets united at last and also the recognition to Uhtred's territory which was left standing until this day.
A great ending to a truly amazing show
Destiny is all!
Movie was amazing. Really going to miss the storyline.
Can't say I had as much emotions as the whole serie but I liked the ending. Soundtrack of Eivør and J. Lunn emotional as always.
Sad it is all over, as many, but what can I say, you can't keep it running forever unfortunately.. as much as I am a fanboy.
Even the whole TLK team had a blast and through their social media, you can feel their nostalgia of this journey.
Thanks everyone involved along the years, fantastic to watch is an euphemism:heart:
(Best you see the serie first, if you haven't already)
I found it OK. The story is interesting, but you can be confused at the beginning with all the names that are mentioned. The production designed is good with all the sets decorated, the great make-up and hairstyling, and the costume design. For moments, the cinematography is amazing and for some others it is forced to be dramatic and 'beautiful'. It is a good epic.
ofc aethelstan has to be gay. to cancel netflix was the right choice.
Sad to see it all end but was a great ride ; the movie fills in what happens in the conquest of King Aethelstan The Great On his conquest of Scots and Welsh ; the seven kingdoms albeit with a bit freedom of him being gay and Fratricide
The movie isn't perfect but at times it's really good. The ending is really powerfull.
Sad so many series regulars were missing but loved the final scene.
Felt a bit disjointed when compared to the series. A bit too much crammed into too little time.
Good ending to the Last Kingdom series. Straight to the point, lots of action and overall very entertaining. I'm glad they did it as a 2 hour movie and didnt drag it out over a 10 episode season.
Great movie for Netflix movie…
Solid show from the first season to the last one and this movie. It is not spectacular, but it is very entertaining, especially if you like medieval novels or films. It can be one of the few series with no silly plots or turns that I have followed in the last years. Only for that and that I love medieval books, I give an 8/10.
Uhtred became dumb for the majority of the movie.
Damn, the best moment was when they called Uhtred the king of Northumbria. Sympathy points for Uhtred are simply endless.

I agree, seems crammed a bit. I enjoyed the series much more.
