I really liked this movie, just enough amount of action a decent story line and well Joel Kinnaman that's always a plus point. I don't get why people are mad about the ending, i actually liked the ending, it's something new and fresh and not the normal ending you see in most movies. Although it's not the best movie i've seen if it's on Netflix i'll watch it again.
It was ok. Ana de Armas is hot.
By the end of the movie all I could say is, “is that it?”. What a let down...
My sources have told me that this film is awfully generic. Don't tell anybody I told you.
Intense experience. Great story. Keeps in tension from the beginning.
Good movie, keeps you entertained all the way to the end. If anyone takes away anything from this... NEVER trust the cops/crime boss/FBI to have your back. So basically keep your head down and stay out of trouble - especially if you're married to a gorgeous woman like Ana de Armas! 8/10
I’d forgotten about it by the time I got to my car.
Noooo... I mean, the movie was pretty good overall, but that ending! Great acting, good action scenes... but the story was not that good and the ENDING was not great, in my opinion... 6 out of 10 ....
You know when you watch a movie and you have seen literally every single scene like a billion times before? The Informer is very generic cop / mafia drama. USA = good, Poland = bad. Yes, yes, we get it.
I don’t wanna talk too much about the clownery, but I just wonder where the outrage is for this movie? I guess people can over look the racist undertones in this movie because the target ethnic group doesn’t have tan?! The constant racist jokes, barely have any actual Polish actors … but ummmm, that’s okay I guess. How come Mexicans weren’t portrayed offensively in Bad Boys for Life or Terminator Dark Fate but they can’t do the same with Polsih people? The mafia boss is Polish and I think they mentioned being Polish, like, every other line or something, that’s their sole characteristic. "Woke" crowd only cancels at their own convenience, their double standards or asymmetric nature of “woke” politics does not apply consistent principles of behavior to all races and ethnic groups.
A perfectly solid action thriller. A little bit on conspiracy. A little bit of punchy punchy. A little bit of reverse heist. All while not forgetting itself and contradicting it's own plot points or being overly silly. I've wasted more time watching worse. Looking at you Eraser Reborn right now. The acting was fine. It does have some classic copaganda where the NYPD is super dedicated and can't be taken off a case. It's kinda amusing that there's a plot point where a cop gets killed and suddenly the police decide to start enforcing laws and stop the drug trade. It's a bit serendipitous because a cop was just killed in Canada and we all got an emergency alert on our phones about an active shooter.
For the most part the flubs that I could tell as a civilian weren't big enough to affect the narrative. It's kinda funny watching prisoners make phone calls and they just go through. Prison calls always require approval and warning. It's adorably throwbacky and yet another plot point involve the police listening in on the calls. It's just a weird balance.
I liked the ending. It was a solid and effective use of the open-ended narrative. The story was complete. i don't need to know what happens next and I was satisfied with the conclusion. That's a really hard balance to hit. The Matrix hit it. Terminator 3 hit it and then both of them ruined perfect endings with sequels. At least I don't have to worry about that here.
Lmao this movie is so not memorable that I literally didn't even remember I had already seen it until looking it up here. Don't waste your time!
Turned it off the pacing was so slow. I almost fell asleep a few times.

It's fine and totally forgettable with a bad ending.
