OK, so you're telling me that a movie like 'Once Upon a Time In Hollywood' receive backlash on how the Manson Family was portrayed, but this movie somehow goes under the rader? Not mainstream enough?
I couldn't think of a more insulting portrayal of Sharon Tate if I tried. If these people really give a shit about the Manson family case, then where's the outcry for this?
People are so fake. Fucking clowns.
Aaaaaand just like that we have a new frontrunner for worst movie of the year. I mean I doubt I'll hate a movie as much as I do Midsommar but even I can admit that this movie is worse. The acting, the accents, the choices.....whew.
After watching Margot Robbie’s portrayal of my favourite ever actress Sharon Tate, in once upon a time in Hollywood, I guess I didn’t have high hopes for Hilary Duff or this flick. Safe to say this was true. I feel like this was created in the hope to profit off Tarantino’s flick, due to the revival of the Manson crimes. I must say, the representation certainly of the murder scenes etc is pretty on point, however Duffs acting is comical & the accent even worse. This act of evil still traumatises me to this day. How anyone could do what the Manson family did to those 5 innocent people is beyond human.
Basically I have no words. Okay, maybe a few. The "Haunting" angle was simply pointless, as was pretty much everything else. I'd much rather see yet another retelling of the Helter Skelter murders.
Such a shame for these people who ended up mixed up in something awful. Quite a good representation, however i'm not sure how true most of it is. Got a little confusing near the end. But Hilary did a good job.
Another telling of the Sharon Tate tragedy; takes a new slant on the story, but this is still exploitative and pretty pointless.

Daniel Farrands is a POS director of scripted horror - every single one, in the last five years, has been exploitative, poorly done and hard to finish, which is surprising/disappointing since i enjoyed his documentaries
sidenote: Debra Tate (Sharon's sister) was against this movie, asked them not to make it and they went forward against her wishes anyways.
