The second film from Michael Morrissey - writer and director of Wonder Boy - and if the synopsis sounds a little like Halloween, yeah, it does feel like that at times, but there is more than ample depth to keep this from becoming a simple slasher movie. TGWGA has a strong mystery element to it, as well... maybe not enough, because there are still parts I am confused about. This has the feel of an A24 movie, and I would recommend it to fans of psychological horror. There's still a body count, there's still blood, yet most of the deaths happen off camera. Overall, very satisfying.
