They could have easily cut 1hr out the middle of this movie without any effect. Pretty lame!
This is not really a comedy and is actually quite depressing at times.
Some original good laughs. Russian women probably will hate the American relationships but if you’re a proud native non-maga normal decent human who doesnt get off traumatizing children this is a sleeper hit. Also, Mindy Kalin and Kevin Hearts cameo roles are wound in well enough they feel like the Soviet Union collapsed and never came back. If you’re reading this I have news for you - reevaluate your whole life.
This is better decribed as a drama with funny scenes rather than as a comedy. The good thing is that it talks about a very common and real issue most people think about some time in their life, but in general it's quite dull and too long
kinda boring, some funny scenes. expected much more, just watched because of jason
Sleep tight
Disappointing. I liked the writing job Jason did on the Muppets and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but this movie wasn't as good as those.
Expected DVD release: September 4th 2012
Just crazy! Starts great and also ends great, but in the middle it just get's crazy :D
Not bad though. But unfortunately due to the crazy also not awesome.
yup agree with you on that justin. disappointing. although it did start well as a comedy like i expected then went downhill into some boring romance movie that seemed to go on forever.
As an anti-advertisement Michigan is a 7/10, if that wasn't the message it was definitely worse...
Y’all are too serious. This movie leans way more com than rom. You just have to remember everyone is a clown. The characters aren’t real people. And the comedians have been given the reigns to riff in almost every scene.
It strikes a fine balance in making some drama so that the story has an arc. There are ups and downs, but it finds humor along the entire way. It’s so not real yet it touches the humanity about “the right choice”.
From a different Judd Apatow movie, “life is often like a way less funny version of everybody loves Raymond.” I think if I could laugh at my past more, it would be similar to this move.
This movie was long for a rom com, but honestly we found it hilarious. I was so happy to have so much of all of these comedians. Alison Brie and Chris Pratt were gold.
A gem from the 2010’s.
It was interesting to see Jason Segel team up again with Nicholas Stoller. I had my first child right around the time that The Muppets came out - we probably watched that movie one hundred times. Anyway, this movie is pretty much what you think it is (and maybe a bit better). Segel and Blunt are fantastic together and there is real chemistry between them. The plot is a bit over-stuffed but not by too much. The film works better as a sweet romance than it does when it tries to be funny.

I loved the wedding, so adorable:heart_eyes::hearts::hearts::hearts:
Damn, Chris Pratt really nails that song, both on comedic value AND singing voice /claps
Some fun moments but then it just brabbels along. Didn't even matter to me if they get together or not.
Meh! Disapponting.

While this has some pretty funny scenes, overall it just depressed the hell out of us. A couple of things to note: chubby Chris Pratt is best Christ Pratt and this movie is way too long.
